Yes yes I know I promised a new episode today but I have a bad case of writers block fall3 However I hope you enjoy the teasers here for now! rav2 I'll add a new update after each episode premieres so keep an eye out! rav2

  2. The main ones I'm looking forward to...

On the whole, X-Men is definitely my favorite superhero series, and I've especially loved Hugh Jackman's portrayal of Wolverine ever since the first movie came out 17 years ago. This film also appears to be doing something fairly different from your typical superhero film, which I appreciate.

I love kaiju flicks and this looks to be quite a bit of fun. Also looking forward to seeing John Goodman in a shady 10 Cloverfield Lane-style role again.

I had mixed feelings on Prometheus but I still have really high hopes for this. The cast and the basic premise are encouraging to me.

I really liked Gal Gadot in Batman v Superman, and I think the trailers thus far have made this look like quite a good fantasy-adventure flick.

Loved Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. Not a whole hell of a lot else to say, but I am excited.

I'm roughly 100% sure this is gonna flop and flop HARD, but I still think this looks great. I'm surprised and delighted that someone was willing to put money into this just a few years after John Carter and Jupiter Ascending gagged at the box office.

A few others I have some hope for...

Although I do love the Universal Monsters series from the 30s and onward, I'm not totally sold on this yet. I like the idea of doing a modern shared universe in theory, but I'm not too confident in the people they've put in charge here (Alex Kurtzman and Chris Morgan? Really?)... However, I do think Tom Cruise generally has very good taste in blockbusters to appear in, and I respect the man for his dedication to his craft. Hey, who else is gonna hang off an airplane in their mid-fifties just to entertain audiences?

Kingsman was great and I'm glad Colin Firth will be back.

I did think The Force Awakens was good, but I also hope that Rian Johnson can shake things up a bit here so this doesn't also feel like a "best of" compilation of the original trilogy. I'm sure when more details come out, I'll get a bit more excited.

  3. Hey what's up I just want to let out somethings that I have been holding back for a while now. As you will all know i now have a job and i know that's suppose to be something exciting like "yay! woo hoo! now you can get the chance of making it rain!" that is not true first of all. Second of all, I just work at McDonald's and for those who never worked there probably doesn't know literally how impossible it can feel trying to please the customers while the automatic soda machine keeps having a break down and i mean a major break down. I'm talkin' how the claws that suppose to clasp whatever size drink is being put in the order doesn't clasp it at all so I literally have to do it manually, and sometimes even though you know you put the cup in the right container it was suppose to be in, the machine itself doesn't pour the drink into the cup and instead just pours it in's something when a customer orders a drink from the cashier and then there's the soda machine that the customer has to pour it in themselves and sometimes it overflows and the liquid just ends up spilling under those metal bars that just holds or disposes the liquid but that's out front where customers order their food I'm the one at the second window of the drive thru that gives the customer their meals. Anyways, it was a complete disaster it keeps breaking a bunch of cups which made us waste time and won't give the customers their drinks ON time. Most of the time we have to pour in the drinks manually by just pressing the buttons of the order for the customers. The only thing that made things easier was me trying to socialize with them and be nice and just stay on their good side to make it hard for them to go against me and i do that as a distraction while my coworkers go and fixes the problem. There's a lot to say about what goes on in there. I really don't like working at McDonald's but the only reason why its bareable for me was because I begged my manager, in a very subtle way, to move me from the grill position to the second window position because i didn't find it enjoyable to keep giving myself first degree burns every time i try to flip a burger. The window does have some ups and downs like, sure I'm able to talk to people and serve them drinks and their meals as soon as it's ready, but it does get hot most of the time and so i have to ask my manager if i can have a soda or something..yesterday (2/19/17) i drank two medium sprites and an apple juice that didn't have a straw attached to it. I was lucky they let me out an hour early because my shift was suppose to be from 1-5pm and i got out at 4, went out to starbucks, drank my favorite tall caramel frappuccino, i looked through my snapchat and saw my boyfriend's message about knowing i got out early mainly because i was bragging about how relieved i am about it in my story so he hit me up, then later he came over to my house. Again, i love my boyfriend but he acts like a complete child sometimes, he's always seeking attention and when he doesn't get it he has an attitude and just  tries to walk out the door then ends up coming back in because he realizes i didn't care because im suppose to be his girlfriend not his babysitter or his entertainer. He whines and complains i mean c'mon the dude is 18 years old shouldn't he be mature by now? Ugh and today he was bothering me about coming over to hang and talk and stuff and i said "no because you were being too much last night, you were always trying to put your disgusting fingers in my mouth and constantly waving your arms on my face and putting it in my face and constantly being touchy all over my body even in places that you weren't invited in" We were just watching a movie Inferno which was really interesting by the way, and all i wanted to do was chill and watch the movie. I don't mind holding hands or cuddling but if he keeps acting the way he's acting, then i might as well work as a babysitter and should be payed a lot because i always put up with him. The relationship is becoming more of a chore than romance and honestly I don't feel it's going anywhere. And I know what you guys are thinking "ok if it's not going well then just break up with him" and i will i just have to find a perfect time and just let him down easy. I didn't sign up to date a whiny boy who acts like a little bitch ok? If i wanted pussy i would date a woman..i was suppose to be signed up for a man who knows how to act while we're in public, who knows how to be mature and not complain about everything, who gives me what i like instead of making me do what he likes all the time...yanno like I'll do things that he likes and he does the same for me. OH MY GOD  that felt good letting it out..I'm so glad you guys would take the time to read all this about stress and fiasco events at work (honestly). Keep reading my blogs guys i enjoy writing them just for you. bye loves! :D:D

Episode One - "Thank You For Being A Fag!"

"This is it" Sylk thought, as she hit the upload button on her latest ASMR video, "Whispering... Cock In 80 Different Languages." After barely a minute had passed, Sylk noticed she was losing thousands of subscribers by the minute. "What could I have done wrong?" Sylk thought, however she eventually went on with her day. She was too excited to let this bring her down, as three wonderful ladies would be moving in with her today. Taylor Nylund, 68. Sylk had met her at the nearest Walmart while looking for extra-strength Trojan condoms, and they quickly hit it off. Taylor is... maybe not the brightest lady in the world, but she has a great heart. They share a mutual love for men and both have plans to go out to a strip club later tonight, where they will hopefully hit it off with a few hot daddies. Taylor's husband, Aidan, had sadly passed away a few months ago, and she was looking for a new place to stay. Once she told Sylk about this, her face immediately lit up and she offered Taylor a room at her place, as she was looking for roommates as well.

Knock knock. Sylk hears the door and rushes to open it. "Hannah?" Sylk said, "I was really hoping this would be Taylor, but I guess you'll do!" Hannah glared at Sylk. Hannah was another one of the three ladies she had met along the way. Hannah Zbornak. 70. Her mother, Hylia Zbornak, was coming along with her as well. Sylk had three rooms available, one for each. Hylia had been living at the nursing home a few blocks down, Shady Penis, but it sadly burned down recently. No one is really sure what happened, although Hannah likes to think it was due to Hylia playing one of her many Tori Amos CDs one too many times. "Hello there, Hylia!" Sylk said. "Oh hey there, I've heard a lot about you. Keep your giant dildo collection away from both myself and my daughter." Hylia said. "Well hello to you too!" Sylk says back to her, as she carries Hylia's suitcase into the next room. "I'm sorry, Sylk, my mother suffered a small stroke a few years back, which was rendered her an annoying cunt." Hannah says, walking with her suitcase alongside Sylk.

Knock. Knock. Knock. Sylk hears the sound of the door again, and she heads back to the living room to open it. "Hey there!" Taylor says, letting herself in immediately. "Oh finally, I was hoping it was you, Taylor!" Sylk says back. As Taylor makes her way in, she sees Hannah and Hylia sitting on the couch, and she immediately waves and introduces herself. "Oh hey, you must be Hannah and Hylia Zbornak? I'm Taylor!" she says. "Hi Taylor, yes, my name is Hannah and this is my mother, Hylia." Hannah says back to her. "Great, we've all met! Now let's get this party started!" Sylk says. "Wait, what party?" Taylor says, looking confused. Sylk went shopping earlier and bought a new Mariah Carey vinyl for her record player. She puts it on, and it starts playing. ♫♪ "Somewhere in another life... we stole a moment in time.."  ♪♫ "Turn that shit off, you slut. My ears are bleeding, and I don't even have my hearing aids turned up." Hylia says to Sylk. "You are nothing but a JLo stanning rat! And as Godriah Carey is my witness, I will never apply your wig again!" Sylk says in response to Hylia. "Again? My wig remains firmly planted on my scalp, in fact, I think my real hair grew back after hearing that god awful song." Hylia says. "Ladies, ladies, let's not start fighting less than an hour after moving in with each other. This is not a good sign!" Taylor says to everyone. They all agreed.

"I have an idea!" Taylor says, as she makes her way to the Kitchen. "Let's cook dinner, I'm starving!" Taylor begins cooking, while Sylk turns on her new 4k Ultra HD Flatscreen TV, where she searches for the latest episode of Wendy Williams. Hylia searches for her suitcase, where she finds her vinyl addition of "Music Of The Sun" to put on and drown out Sylk saying "how you doin'?" back to Wendy on the TV. The ladies all eat dinner, and then Sylk and Taylor head to their rooms to get ready for that strip club they planned on going to. Sylk makes sure to get out her best wig, meanwhile Taylor finds her best push-up bra. It is now 9:00 PM, and both ladies are ready. They head back out to the living room and ask Hannah if she'd like to join them. "No, thank you. I don't really do strip clubs." Hannah says. "Legend has it Hannah has not seen a man unclothed since 1983, I wouldn't invite her to your activities, ladies!" Hylia says to both Sylk and Taylor. They all laughed. Both of them head to the front door and leave, yelling out "We'll tell you all about it when we're back, ladies! Don't burn the house down while we're gone!" They both speed off in Taylor's sports car, and the lyrics to Taylor Swift's "Wildest Dreams" blaring from the radio can be heard even inside the house. Just as Hannah starts heading for the bathroom, she hears a knock at the door. She heads to the door and opens it... "Cody?!" Hannah says frantically. "What are you doing here?" she asks Cody as her heart starts pounding....

For my first review, i wanted to do an album i had heard a lot about but never gotten into, and SweetSexySavage came to mind. So these are my personal thoughts. Hope y'all like!

Intro - 7/10 - I've never heard an album open like this. It's interesting to me and I like when an artist does something very new. Already I'm pretty impressed, I hope the tracks come THROUGH.  But, it was just spoken word and not really a track, so I cannot score it that high. I'm really into the lines "The truth is that I'm a super woman / and some days I'm a angry woman / some days I'm a crazy woman".

Keep On - 7/10 - Oop with this beat already I now it's gonna be a BAWP. Ooo I like her voice a lot. This is really cool and sleek, she sounds amazing. I really liked the piano sort-of-thing at the end, it added a cool touch. Overall, this isn't quite a track I enjoy, but I don't see myself being obsessed with it. It is a good way to open the album musically though. The topic is also cute that it's written about.

Distraction - 10/10 - Ohmygod that harmony, my WIG. Okay, I am really into this. Yep, I'll be really into this one. It's really a bop and the vocals are stunning with the harmonies. The verses. Ugh this PRECHORUS. I'm loving this so much damn. I think it's part the beat, and these amazing harmonies going on. Whew this bridge. I really like this one, it's definitely a step up from Keep On, I will be obsessed with this.

Piece Of Mind - 6/10 - Okay this harp sound I'm loving. It's really cute, the vocals are done really well. I am into this beat, I can see it playing at a summer resort or soemthing relax people or atleast that's the vibe I'm getting. Ugh these NOTES she is hitting. Wasn't too memorable to me or makes me want to listen again though and that's what I like about songs. I want them to pull me back and make we want to listen again. I think this one could be more of a grower though.

Undercover - 9/10 - Okay this album has some amazing opening instrumental. Wow that transition, that's some slayage. I once again am really into this. This chorus better pull through. When I first thought about reviewing this album, this was the sound I was expecting, and I am loving it. Whew I really liked that. Also, that ending was amazing, I love the overall production this track, and overall it's something I will come back to.

CRZY - 7/10 - I think this was the lead single? So I'm ready for this to bop. It's a cute bop, but nothing to call home about. Yeah, it's really cute and the production is well done, but I don't know if I'm too into this one. I think it was a good single choice, but I don't know if it'll stick with me.

Personal - 6.5/10 - Already, this intro has me slayed. Another great one. I liked the chorus quite a bit, very relaxing track and I like the lyrics. I think the production as well done as well. I think it's cute, and something that will have to grow on me. But it will get stuck in my head.

Not Used To It - 6/10 - I like the production and how the vocals are done. She sounds stunning. I like the lyrics, they are something I haven't heard any of my fave sing about. Not quite memorable though.

Everything Is Yours - 7.5/10 - Anther beautiful relaxing track. The production is just stunning and so is her voice. Something that I'll be enjoying in the next couple days. These harmonies on this album though. Whew.

Advice - 9/10 - Oh I'm already into this. The chords and her voice has my wig on threads. This track is also stunning lyrically. Ugh I will also be enjoying this. I love the simple production and how her voice carries it. A great song.

Do U Dirty - 6/10 - A little too forgettable. The production is interesting, and it has stellar vocals, but I feel like I've heard it before on the album. I don't know if I would ever return to it though.

Escape - 10/10 - Now this track is such a step up from the last one. It has a great beat and I love the lyrics. One of my new faves, really into this one. I will definitely listening to this one after I finish the album, it is a qualitea track.

Too Much - 10/10 - This already sounds really good. I'm still recovering from Escape and this has my wig still flying. I am digging this production, it's something new to the album. That choppy talk in the pre-chorus sounds amazing. Ohmygod this bridge, I am LOVING this. I will be bopping to this so much. It sounds so good, I need to hear this instrumental. Overall, a real highlight of the album. Not quite into the lyrics, but everything else is true slayage.

Get Like - 9/10 - Once again, this is a SONG. I can so see myself bopping to these, I love this chorus, it's simple but something I can enjoy. It's gonna be a good song to clam me down, I will be listening to this track a lot I am already thinking.

In My Feelings - 7/10 - Okay, we're back to a bop. A really sleek track, I am enjoying it quite a bit. I am living for this pre-chorus though, it sounds so good. I think it is a little forgettable though, but I still like it nonetheless, I think it'll have to grow on me.

Hold Me By The Heart - 8/10 - I am already loving the title, and whew this guitar. I like the track because it's so different than what I've been hearing. Ok tbh, she is already the queen of pre-chorus, these buildups are just snatching. I am loving how toned down it is, and it is a good way to almost close the album. THAT NOTE SHE JUST HELD MY WIG. MY POOR WIG. Oop that just added an extra point.

Thank You - 8/10 - I like this title to close the album, I like the production already as well. This is a really cute closer, these lyrics are so cute and I can feel the emotion. I am really like this as the closer, really good choice.

    133/170 or 78%

I really enjoyed this album, I think there where a couple fillers/ forgettable tracks which I feel where what brought the album down. But, the album is well done and I like it a lot. Tracks like Distraction, Too Much, and Get Like are such highlights and amazing track and I live for them. I get why people love her so much, she is phenomenal and I am excited to see what she does next. I have never been a large fan of R&B music, and this album has changed my stance on it. I think this an amazing album, and something people should try. Also that coverart. my WIG.

Hello! If you're reading this, you're probably wondering who the hell I am. If you still haven't figured it out, this is TLB. I wanted to make a post explaining why I decided to change my display name. cry7

It goes without saying at this point that I'm a Harry Potter fanatic (and I apologize for not shutting up about it sometimes). I've lived and breathed this magical world every day for well over a decade, and it's such an enormous part of my identity. It has shaped and influenced me in so many ways: it was there for me when I had no one, it has helped me through some of the most difficult periods of my life, it taught me important lessons of bravery and friendship, and it is where I picked up my passions for learning and social progress. But most of all, it introduced me to my greatest hero...

When I was little, I never really fit in with the other kids. Most of the girls were into things like dolls and fashion, and most of the guys liked sports, cars, and video games. I forced myself to like all of these subjects, but ultimately none interested me in the slightest. I vividly remember my best friend's birthday party when we were about seven years old. While everyone else was playing baseball in the backyard, I sat on the deck alone reading a book. This seemed to happen everywhere we went, and my parents were worried that I was "unfriendly," "reclusive," "avoidant," and, worst of all, "antisocial." They made me leave my books in the car whenever we went out in public so I wouldn't "ignore" people, but I wasn't doing it on purpose: I was just so engrossed in my book that I would simply forget they were there at all.

At school my hand was always the first in the air, and oftentimes the only. Part of it was definitely me showing off how much I knew, but mostly I was genuinely excited to interact with the teacher and learn. Spelling tests were my favorite part of the week, and my classmates thought I was crazy for it. They branded me a know-it-all, a goody two-shoes, a teacher's pet, and a nerd, and even though I told myself that they were just jealous, it really hurt deep down.

That all changed the day I saw this book at Borders:

Image result for harry potter and the philosopher's stone book tattered

I devoured it in a couple of days. I fell in love with the plot, the setting, and the dialogue, but most of all, Hermione Granger.

She loved to read, she stayed out of trouble, she put immense pressure on herself to be the best, she had a strong sense of justice, she didn't give a rat's ass about beauty or popularity, was annoyingly matter-of-fact at times, and she was also picked on for having all of these qualities. She was literally me.

The one difference between us, though, was that Hermione was a boss. She saved the day even more than Harry, and she didn't have to be a celebrity or attractive or good at sports. All she needed to do was hit up the library and study.

Image result for hermione library gif

With each Harry Potter book I read, my own confidence grew stronger. Hermione made me realize that I was just as cool as she was. I didn't have to dumb myself down in order for people to like me, the people who made fun of me would be taking my order at Subway someday anyway, and I didn't need to choose between beauty or brains, because brains are beauty.

I grew up with her, and along the way we both learned some of the same lessons together: not to worry so much, sometimes breaking the rules is necessary in order to do the right thing, and standing up for the little guy is always worth it even when people tell you you're being a bleeding heart or a social justice warrior. I fangirled for her whenever she had an awesome moment, and I rooted for her to do well on her OWLs and win Ron's heart. I hated Draco Malfoy with a passion for bullying her, I cried when she got tortured in the last book, and I sighed a huge breath of relief when she got a happy ending.

Eventually, kids at school starting calling me "Hermione" when I raised my hand and got an answer right. They were probably doing it to hurt my feelings, but it made me proud.

Image result for hermione patronus gif

Even though Hermione is fictional, she still feels like my guardian angel. I have posters of her in my room, and I often think about what she would do in tough situations. If she were real, we would probably be best friends. I have to be honest, I totally daydream about hanging out with her sometimes and talking about books and politics. People still regularly tell me that I remind them of her, and I think it's the biggest compliment in the whole world.

  6. We're all chained to the rhythm!

Katy Perry debuts at #1 on the FOTP chart with her new single, Chained To The Rhythm. Lady Gaga released a music video to John Wayne just a few days ago which helped it debut at #2, it was only a few scrobbles away from beating Katy but clearly everyone else were too busy dancing to the distortion. K-Pop group BTS and Oakland R&B singer Kehlani also snuck into the chart surprisingly having a lot of scrobbles.

But as we look at the Artist chart, Mother Monster Lady Gaga has snatched the crown. Despite not being #1, she managed to have the most scrobbles as an artist combined. All of her studio albums were scrobbled which helped her out a lot. Unexpected artist Ethel Waters appeared on the chart, only one member scrobbled this artist and she beat out faves like Kylie Minogue, Lana Del Rey, Taylor Swift, and Nicki Minaj because of that achievement she comes in at #9 on the artist chart.

See you all next week, will Katy stay #1 for another week? Or will your fave replace her?

    It's all up to YOU.

  7. This ranking is definitive, so no need to argue sass5

    14. The Monster

I recently came out to some people on here as an Eminem fan. It’s not a fact I was keeping secret, just something that I never said to anyone. The thing is, I like his music because it’s dark and, dare I say, controversial (also I think he’s funny sometimes). This song is neither and has never and will never do it for me. I really truly hate this basic song. There’s absolutely nothing interesting about it. I’ve listened to it probably two times in my life and I can’t remember anything except the opening line. Yawn.

    13. SOS

I’m generally a sample apologist and I really like a good use of a sample, even of songs I like. However, for some reason, JR Scrotem manages to ruin sampling entirely. His productions almost never work for me (that Whatcha Say song can die) and are just abominations of the original song. This one is probably his best, but it still doesn’t stop me from yelling “BUT WHY WOULD YOU RUIN TAINTED LOVE” every time this song comes on. Has he retired yet?

    12. S&M

This song is not very good. It’s kinda bad actually. But it’s leagues more interesting than either The Monster or SOS which is why it’s above them. It’s kind of a mess, but I enjoy a fun mess every once in a while, and I’d be lying if I said I don’t stop and bop occasionally.

    11. Live Your Life

Ah yes, into the songs I like. Remember when they sampled the numa numa song in a pop song? Hilarious! I love sampling again!

    10. Only Girl (In The World)

I had an obsession with this song when it came out. It didn’t age extremely well for me, but the nostalgia it induces can’t be ignored. It’s a fun song! Also Ariana’s cute little doo wop cover of it is adorable, if you haven’t heard it, you should check it out.

    9. Disturbia

This song is so fun! Bum bum bee dum bum bum bee dum bum bey6 It aged pretty well, too! A little repetitive imo, I don't generally listen all the way through anymore, but super enjoyable!

    8. What’s My Name

If I’m being perfectly honest, this song will always feel inferior to Take Care for me. It’s the not as good Drake/Rihanna collar from that era. BUT this is one of the few songs (if not the only song) from Loud that I still bop to. I almost always stop on it when it comes on shuffle, I really enjoy it!

    7. Take a Bow

A fucking CLASSIC! What a great ballad! This one also has a lot of nostalgia attached to it, but even without the nostalgia goggles I think it’s still really good! I personally think it aged better than Disturbia into 2017.

    6. Love The Way You Lie

I’m a little afraid to talk about how spectacular I think this song is. I hadn’t listened to it in a while and then 5 seconds in, I was already busting a nut. Eminem had been doing a really bad job for a while, making shitty FULL ALBUMS with awful jokes, and then he came back with this tragic tale about a shitty relationship. It actually tells a story and one that I think is interesting, which is really nice in rap songs when it actually happens in the mainstream, which is rarely!

A good portion of how great this song is can be attributed to Rihanna’s chorus. Her voice is so perfectly suited for it and it’s SUCH A GOOD CHORUS! I also love both part 2 and the piano version that are on Loud, I think they’re so beautiful, and the lyrics that were added are so perfect. As far as I'm concerned, this is the only Rihanna/Eminem collab.

I need to stop talking about this song…

    5. Rude Boy

Come here rude boy boy can you get it up

Come here rude boy boy is you big enough

    take it take it

    baby baby

    take it take it

    love me love me

    4. Work

I’m still surprised I love this song as much as I do? Still only my second favorite Rihanna/Drake collab (Take Care is one of the best songs I’ve ever heard and you all will deal),  but this is a great song. The first time I heard it I was like “lol wtf is Rihanna doing”, but by the second time I listened to it, I payed attention the lyrics, and I fell in love. It’s extremely rare that the lyrics themselves are what make me 100% on board with a song, which is one of the reasons I love this one so much. I enjoy somber party songs, and this song is definitely that. My favorite line in it is “you took my heart and my keys and my patience”, just fyi, it gives me chills every time. Drake’s part is a little dumb ("if you had a twin I would still choose you", that's nice that you want her for more than just her looks ig? Thanks for telling us you're a decent person?), but still entertaining. Also I prefer the second video, for anyone who was wondering. 2016 was a good year for anyone who likes Rihanna’s nipples, huh?

    3. Diamonds

I learned recently that the regulars (GP) don’t stan this song as hard as I do? Weird.

I think this song is beautiful. This is also a song that sounds extremely good live, and really shows how much Rihanna’s vocals have improved since the beginning of her career. Also any time I hear the word “diamond” I always chime in with “SHINE BRIGHT LIKE A DIAMOND”. Every time.

    2. We Found Love

I generally try not to let music videos dictate how much I like or dislike a song, but with this one, I have no idea how I’d feel about this song if I didn’t love this music video so much. It’s one of my favorite (if not my absolute top favorite) music videos of all time. The story in the video makes me appreciate the story in the song a lot better and it’s impossible for me to hear it without thinking about the video. A masterpiece, truly.

I'm talking about a minute in, for the record. I can't defend that british accent or it's inclusion in what's otherwise a perfect video.

    1. Umbrella

This is THE Rihanna song for me. In 20 years, I’m gonna be putting this in playlists entitled “best pop songs of all time”. This is the kind of song that when they make a “now that’s what I call 2000s”, they would put in there as one of the first tracks, and if they didn't, they'd hear from my lawyers. It’s weird thinking that there was a time that people weren’t making Rihanna/ Umbrella jokes but apparently before 2007, they didn’t exist? Beats me. What a CLASSIC, honestly. This song is why Rihanna is a Certified: Legend in my heart.

I love Rihanna so much oprah4

    Chapter One

Belladonna Burton frantically refreshed the International Film Awards page on her gold-encrusted tablet while her personal assistants scrambled around the dressing room to make sure that her diva demands were met. If she didn’t get the nomination, she was going to have the temper tantrum of the millennium. She had turned the public relations dial up to eleven this awards season: attending every stop of every press tour, taking part in a short-lived showmance with a closeted co-star orchestrated by her agent, and going as far as calling the paparazzi to photograph herself handing out hot soup and designer coats at the homeless shelter.

While her team was helplessly blending a homemade venti mocha Frappuccino with almond milk in the background, she finally got the page to load. She scrolled down through all of the irrelevant categories that no one cares about like Best Documentary Short Subject and made it to the heading.

There it was. Best Actress in a Leading Role.

“I’ve played a man. I’ve played Siamese twins. I’ve played a morbidly obese cat lady hoarder who lost control of her sphincter muscles. How have I not been nominated yet? I’ve even been in movies that have won Best Picture, but of course I never get any of the recognition myself. If I don’t see my name under this heading, I’m quitting acting forever and becoming a lifestyle guru or something. No one appreciates my craft. I can’t help it that I’m ahead of my time,” she obsessively rambled, with bulging eyes, gritted teeth, and a vein almost popping out of her forehead.

Bella’s assistants went dead silent. They had no business bringing up the fact that she had top billing in the three highest-grossing movies of the last year, nor that she was one of the top five most-followed celebrities on Twitter, nor that she had just graced the covers of Vogue, Elle, Glamour, Marie Claire, InStyle, Cosmopolitan, and Harper’s Bazaar within the span of one month. An IFA was practically the only thing on the planet that she didn’t have to her credit. Never had they imagined that Belladonna Burton would turn out to be this much of a far cry from her public persona as a relatable, sweet, and innocent girl-next-door who suddenly became America’s sweetheart overnight. They had nothing to say in that moment that wouldn’t have gotten them the pink slip, so they kept it all to themselves.

“Why the hell are none of you agreeing with me? Do you want to get fired?,” she barked on the verge of a meltdown, her ego in desperate need of validation. All six assistants stood frozen in fear, continuing their quietude. Anyone who knew what Belladonna was like behind closed doors would be stupid to speak out of turn with her unless they had a death wish.

She gave them all the evil eye for about five seconds each, staring into the very depths of their souls, and then, surprisingly, dropped the subject. She took a deep breath and finally flicked her finger, scanning the screen for her name.

It was the first on the list. Bella emitted a delighted shriek. Horrifying, but delighted.

“I knew it! I had a really good feeling about it this time. My flawless performances have been snubbed by these award academies ever since I got my big break five years ago, and now I’m finally getting the acclaim I deserve! This calls for a toast. Give me my Frappuccino and you guys can have that tap water from the sink. I’m saving the bottled stuff for later,” she celebrated, her mood instantly changing at the news. Her subordinates were outwardly happy for her, although deep down they were terrified at what this would do to her already-inflated sense of self-importance.

Tune into Chapter Two, where Bella becomes acquainted with her competition and devises a nasty scheme to win the award! wendy1

    When I Saw Her Dead….

    Feb 5th, 2017

I woke today up to see a bunch of harassing texts from that woman that shall not be named. She always thrived on riling people up especially now that her daughter was getting engaged and the brother, me, not showing up would humiliate the family, so the harassing would obviously intensify under such circumstances, understandably.  I deleted the texts and went to wash up. I left to get something to eat, as I’m too lazy to cook today. On my way out and right outside my ghetto building I find her lying on the ground. It was the small stray kitten that I’ve been feeding for months outside my building. She was peacefully laying and as I got closer I realized that something wasn’t right and that she wasn’t responding to the noises I made to call her. She was dead.

I looked at what was next to her was a bit of food that I didn’t give her. Now not knowing anyone in the building, I’d take it as the neighbors being nice and feeding her like I was, but because I know what some of my neighbors were like, I’m very doubtful of this. Actually, I wouldn’t put it past them if they actually poisoned her! One of my neighbors always despised the cats that I fed near the building and would kick the cats not knowing that I see him doing it right after I enter the building. One time I even suspected him of stealing the bag of cat food that I bought to feed the stray cats in our neighborhood. I used to put it in a cupboard that is hardly ever used which is in the entrance of our building and there was a key for each drawer. One time the “suspect” saw me stacking the cat food in that cupboard. A day later I find the cat food not only missing but the keys all missing. I knew it was him but in an attempt to not start drama in my building I said nothing and only kept giving him dirty looks when he passed me by. The fact that he kicked this orange ball of innocent fur is all I need to know that he didn’t like her and hated the fact that I fed cats near the building. I never see any of the neighbors put food outside for cats, so seeing the food that she died next to is highly questionable. I examined her body a bit and she didn’t look she was hit by any car or had any injury, the only reasonable thing I can think of is that she was fed something that harmed her and caused her to die. It’s sad if this is the case, how humans can be so despicable.

I took note that the other male stray cat that I’m feeding comes near the building at night. I decided to relocate him to a park that is fifteen minutes away from me. I thought that park would be best because it has so many stray cats living near it that come at night and get fed by families that visit the park. I took the cat in my car and he hated the drive but I knew that it had to be done so he could not be harmed by anyone. I pet him during the whole drive to calm him down while one hand was on the steering wheel. Once I released him in the park he was first scared of the new environment, but soon after he started rolling in the grass like he discovered it for the first time. I left him knowing we probably won’t be crossing paths anytime soon. This ordeal reminded me of my past history with my five cats and four baby kittens that I eventually had to give up a few years ago and how hard it was both financially to take care of them after I was completely broke for four months after graduating college due to my mom cutting me off before I found a job, while knowing about me having the cats and the baby kittens. In my area, adopting animals is the hardest and adopting agencies don’t accept stray cats, so they’re bound to suffer. In a way they don’t know what a home life is and don’t know what they’re missing, which is good because they don’t feel lost or yearning for an owner as if a house cat that got out would, but on the other hand they’re more likely to die from being hit by a car or getting kidney failure due to constant dehydration like another stray cat I once encountered and the vet couldn’t help her case.   In terms of my heartless neighbors, there’s nothing I can do in a place that barely has any regard for animal lives and the laws reflect that sentiment….

Hello dear and devoted Sh-tans! Fashionably late as ever, Mother Shivster is finally here to tell you exactly what you should have been listening to during the year gone by, and where your taste took some drastic turns for the worse. Without further adon't, let's get started with this iconic ranking because I don't have the time or patience to write much more in this intro after having just written most of these rihviews right now!

Essentially ranking at number 10 by default because that’s the exact number of albums I had any amount of interest in in 2016, Kaiser Chiefs’ comeback album is not much more than an embarrassing mess. Despite ditching a well-crafted and identifiable sound for a miserable Avicii-era Coldplay knock-off, it was pretty much a commercial failure – and honestly, deservedly so. Gone are the powerful lyricism, huge singalong hooks, and maybe even the entire band themselves, minus singer Ricky Wilson…? And in come a bunch of mode-du-jour autotuned moans, intrusive samples and an overall lack of inspiration. A huge disappointment with only a couple of highlights that have kept me coming back for just a tiny bit more. It speaks volumes that their 2014 release Education, Education, Education & War managed to chalk up more plays from me last year.

The shortest entrant on this list, with just five tracks and clocking in at under 23 minutes in total, maybe this self-titled EP could’ve ranked higher had it been just that little bit longer, because every song on it is fire.mp3. From the crazy rave that is Savage to the not-so-subtle parody of fellow Pendulum side project Knife Party’s Destroy Them With Lazers, it’s a one continuous albeit very short party, and definitely not the kind you’d invite your parents to. Unfortunately that means there’s not much more to say about it as it’d be much quicker for you to just listen to the whole thing yourself!

After having ranked the original Emotion at number 6 last year I’ve come to rethink my decision, and I’ve now come to the conclusion that it was in fact the best release of 2015. The production, lyrics and overall quality of that album were just beyond all of my expectations for an artist at that point, especially for the “Call Me Maybe girl”. The same can’t be said for Side B, however, and I doubt I’ll be looking back at this list in 2017 and thinking, “Hmm, actually yeah, those 8 tracks were phenomenal”. Don’t get me wrong, they’re all good, but they’re just not as good as the original release and it’s very easy to understand why they weren’t included, with a couple of exceptions like Cry and Higher which would’ve easily nestled in among the others. Some, like Store, seem hugely cringeworthy at first but you come to realise that they actually have a lot of meaning and aren’t just a cheap throwaway. All in all it’s another quality release from Carly, but I’m expecting much, much bigger things from her next studio album.

Against all odds.mp3, Glory has actually managed to rank lower in 2016 than Britney Jean did respectively back in 2013. However, I think that’s more to do with the overall quality of the albums I enjoyed that year, with 2016 being much more of a close race with more releases for me to rank, because Glory is quite obviously a step up in almost all aspects. The production is less tacky (with some obvious exceptions that sounded dated upon release like Make Me and Just Luv Me) and her vocals, for the most part, are well under control and sound better than they have done for years (and actually belong to her). Unfortunately there are also a few missteps on the album and I feel as though, whilst the highs are higher than Britney Jean’s, the lows are much lower because they’re just a bit dull and don’t bring the cheap entertainment factor. It’s obviously a big step in the right direction, but maybe not big enough.

I’ve always considered The Qemists a bit of a filler artist among my other faves, only there to provide a cute alternative whilst I’m waiting for new stuff by acts like Pendulum, The Prodigy and Nero whose music I prefer. However, Warrior Sound was a very nice surprise to come across earlier on last year and I eventually fell in love with every track, which was very easy to do considering how consistent the production and quality is throughout the album. On the other hand, that is also their downfall, since it often becomes difficult to distinguish tracks from one another (am I listening to Requiem, Our World or the title track right now? God only knows, and I don’t have the time to whip out my iPod to check) so it would’ve been nice to hear a bit more variety from them. Nevertheless this has definitely been the album of theirs with the most replay value as far as I’m concerned and I’m very much looking forward to anything they put out in future – although hopefully without another six year gap between these two albums.

After three quite frankly amazing albums in a row, I thought I’d be in for a real treat with White Lies’ fourth effort, especially since it was coming after a slightly longer gap than the every-two-years schedule they’d stuck to before. But in many ways, Friends just feels a bit…lacking. There’s nothing bad that you can really pinpoint, but that being said there’s nothing particularly special either, and in many ways it feels like a slightly more commercialised extension of their last (and quite possibly best) album, 2013’s Big TV, at least in terms of production. Luckily the material itself doesn’t suffer at all because of this and of course I am more than ready to embrace another set of songs in a style that I already know and love! There’s no song on the album that I instantly loved, and although that may be off-putting for a first listen it only made me appreciate each track more and more as time went on.

Before hearing Perfect Illusion I had very high hopes for Gaga’s fifth album. After hearing Perfect Illusion I felt as though I’d be lucky if I even enjoyed half of it. But you know what? Queen CupcakKe was right. The new material isn’t bad, it’s just different. Even the lead single grew on me quickly when I heard it within the album, although it certainly wasn’t the best that the newly transformed Joanne had to show us. The trademark massive electronic production is in Gaga’s past – for now – but at this point in her career I think that’s a step in the right direction, regardless of how well the album may be received commercially. In terms of overall quality the album is fire. The bouncy and tropical (but definitely NOT tropical house, thank fuck) Dancin’ in Circles is the obvious standout track and needs to be released as a single as a matter of urgency. John Wayne harks back to the quirky days of Gaga’s peak, whilst the quite frankly SHUNNED bonus track Just Another Day goes even further, feeling like something straight out of the Stefani era. And whilst the one credited collaboration – Hey Girl – may be one of the most disappointing tracks of her career to date, those working behind the scenes certainly helped to add a new sense of character to Gaga’s ever-developing sound. That said, I still prefer ARTPOP. Oops!

I’ve always been a very casual fan of Green Day – ever since I was a child they’ve been a part of my life somehow – but I never imagined I’d ever be buying an album of theirs again, the first and last one in my collection being American Idiot at the start of this year. Then again, 2016 was such a bizarre year that it essentially became a meme for everyone, and this band were no exception. References to social issues on Revolution Radio are so thinly veiled with clichés that they might as well have used your dead great grandmother’s moth-eaten net curtains to mask them, but they’re the same curtains that you wouldn’t want to have thrown away because they still have that charm to them that you know, love and cherish. At times it can all be a bit cringeworthy, but for the first time in over a decade they’ve brought back the power and politicism that was missing from their music, and from rock music in general, and for that I can only applaud their efforts.

It’s not all doom and gloom on this album though. Songs like Bouncing Off the Walls are fun enough lyrically to entertain the listener, and even the ones with stronger messages like Too Dumb to Die and Bang Bang bring excitement with their monstrous production. The only thing I have left to say is that I hope more young artists in this stagnant and uninteresting industry will follow the example set here and get their listeners to think again.

It’s eclectic yet cohesive. Classic yet modern. And it’s got heaps of bass in all the right places. Before hearing one particular song, Ariana wasn’t even on my radar_(bonus_track).mp3. Prior to that the only thing I’d ever really enjoyed by her was One Last Time, and even then I never actively listened to the track. Into You changed everything. All over the internet I was seeing rave reviews about this amazing, bombastic new track and although I had my reservations I knew that I had to hear it. So I grabbed my headphones and not even four minutes and five seconds later I had found Jesus.

This experience led me to listen to each of the new tracks she revealed day by day leading up to the release of Dangerous Woman, and several times I was astounded. Greedy had me abusing both the repeat and share buttons, and Side to Side quickly made its way onto several of my playlists. Not only that, but literally every single song on the album is a grower (not counting the three extra super special rare etc. whatever bonus tracks because I don’t use them) and at this point in time there’s only one which I find near unlistenable. That’s pretty incredible for a relatively straightforward pop album, but that’s probably also why it’s had such a huge impact for me. The songs that seemed almost underwhelming still presented themselves with a certain sheen which wouldn’t let me get away without re-listening to them time and time again.

And that means that the best album of 2016 and next recipient of the Golden Medoner is...

We’d been waiting so long that we all really should have been ready, but in RIHality none of us were. For the first time since 2010’s Loud, Rihanna, despite being my (joint) favourite singer, has managed to SNATCH the Golden Medoner and become Shiver’s Official™®© Album of the Year!

From the moment I heard Consideration I knew that I was not going to be let down by Anti. It may not be her best album (it’s actually only my fifth favourite of hers overall), and like any album it has its lows (some of them extreme lows), but they’re nothing you can’t look past when they’re sitting next to career highlights such as Desperado, Never Ending and of course Love on the Brain. I even get my life from some of the trashiest bops like Pose and James Joint and I don’t even care because that’s exactly what they should be: carefree.

The real highlight of this album in my opinion comes at the halfway point and bears the name Same Ol’ Mistakes. Some might say that including a carbon copy of such a recent song on what should have been the biggest comeback album of the year is one of said mistakes. I think it’s genius. Rihanna doesn’t sound at all out of place on this track even though she literally doesn’t change anything about it, proving just how easily she can morph and adapt herself to previously unexplored genres, bringing new life to something which itself hadn’t even died. And likewise, Anti doesn’t pretend to be something it’s not. It doesn’t just try to present itself as a fantastic album – it is a fantastic album.

  13. It's been approx. 5 months since my last time making one of these entries so I thought that was long enough and I should make an updated one now. Artists are in alphabetical order (first name) and albums are in order of fave to least fave (not counting Greatest Hits/Christmas/Remix/whathaveyou).

Watch out for that 1D section, it's huge. All Vinyl are underlined.

The third official Battle Competition for Sun and Moon will be underway in February. The 2017 International Challenge: February Edition will use the same rules as Video Game Championships and counts towards your Championship Points if you intend to compete in VGC later this year. For the rest of us, this is our chance to get the Beedrillite and Mawilite mega stones which are prizes for entering into the competition. The rules for the competition are listed below:

    • The February International Challenge is a 3v3 Double Battle format; where you can battle 15 times a day (45 in total). Pokemon will be reset (up and down) to level 50 for this competition.
    • Only Pokemon caught in Sun and Moon between Pokedex Numbers 001-301 can be used
    • Zygarde, Cosmog, Cosmoem, Solgaleo, Lunala, Necrozma, Magearna and all Island Scan Pokemon are banned.
    • Item usage is permitted but mega stones are banned.
    • You cannot use two Pokemon with the same dex number or two or more of the same held item.

More in-depth rules and regulations will be announced shortly. The competition will take place between February 24 and 26 (UTC timezones). Note that if you fail to make your fifteen battles, they will carry over to the next day; however you will not be able to battle after 23:59 UTC on January 26. Sign-ups take place between Feb 16 and Feb 23. If you're unsure how to sign-up; use this short list of pointers:

    • Step One: Before the competition begins, go to the festival plaza. Then go online. Click Battle on the touch screen and then 'Download Rules'. Then, download the ruleset of the current battle competition you're going to register for. Step one is now complete.
    • Step Two: Create a Pokemon Global Link account. The PGL is a site that maintains a profile for yourself and takes notes of your online scores. Once created, make sure to go back to the plaza and register your current game (to the PGL) from inside the castle. (Speak to the girl near the PC).
    • Step Three: Sign-ups will be open for one week before the competition begins. If you fail to sign-up, you won't be able to participate. Log-in to the PGL and sign-up for the competition on it's direct page during this time.
    • Step Four: If you're signed up, then make your team. It should go in one of your Battle Boxes. You can only use one team of six (and can't edit it) for the duration of the entire competition. This will not be locked until you begin your first battle on January 27.
    • Step Five: When the competition starts, go to the Plaza, then online, then Battle and visit the battle spot and choose 'Online Competition'. You will be thrust into your first battle and your Battle Box will be locked until the competition ends. Good luck and have fun!

For more information on the competition, please check the official Information Briefing HERE. Meanwhile, comment below and lemme know what team y'all are gonna bring to this Battle Comp. There's only a few weeks till the game is underway.

  15. Kylie Minogue (1994)

After her departure from PWL with a greatest hits package and one final single, a cover of Kool and The Gang's 'Celecbration', the mid-nineties brought the signing of Kylie to Deconstruction Records and with the new label came new music. Working with Brothers In Rhythm and M People, the sound of the album swayed across many different genres but stuck in the pop area. Even from the album cover, Kylie is past the bubblegum pop for now - and experimenting with lyrical contect in not only love, but also sex, lust and confessions. While this album wasn't her most successful it did debut at #3 on Australian music charts. Lead single 'Confide In Me' peaked at #1 in Australia. Kylie was back and in full force mature pop mode. Many critics call this one of her key re-invention points, something she would eventually be known for. It was the perfect combination of pop and indie, with Middle Eastern influences in the strings. Second single 'Put Yourself In My Place', a ballad discussing a breakup and moving on, uses elements of trip-hop. Its stunning composition means it remains another fan favourite, and the video made for the song is one of the best she's ever done, being inspired loosely by Barbarella. 'Where Is The Feeling?' served as the final single from the period, and using a completely different composition from the album version, the BIR Dolphin Mix transformed it into a dark, spoken club track. BIR's Bish Bosh Mix used a few more elements from the original track and was a lighter mix that used her singing vocals, and was the version performed on any TV performances at the time. The intro of this mix is unmistakably similar to 2001 Fever track Dancefloor. The album itself often takes a while to grow on new fans - but it is always realised to be one of her best. With intricate and lengthy compositions, this album has to be the most experimental album she's ever done. And it was executed amazingly.

    LOVE IS WAITING (9/10)

This little bop was pushed to a Japanese bonus track position on the album, but this little dance track never fails to make me get out of my seat. The lyrical quality is quite good for the track, and the little bursts of guitar at the end of some bars completes the track. It is also to be noted the piano intro is very reminiscent of the melody of 1991 track Right Here, Right Now. Horns, piano, a choir and Minogue's super strong voice - what more could you ask for?

Originally a St Ettiene track (they also produced this version), this song is so groovy, and Kylie's spoken words over her long notes in the background paired with violins is just perfection. This song may be a little uptempo but it's instrumentation is super relaxing. Another Japanese bonus track and B-side to Confide In Me, this gorgeous little track is not one in her discography to be missed.

IF YOU DON'T LOVE ME (9/10)

A track that's solely piano and Kylie's raw, echoing vocals. A heartfelt cover of Prefab Sprout's song, this beautiful track showcases Kylie's high range. It is said to be Kylie's tour manager Seany's favourite, and while he was injured right before the Aphrodite Les Folies Tour, she decided to add this to the setlist in honour of his recovery. When she sang it to the crowd... the whole room stood in silence and soaked in her stunning vocal ability and the stunning lyrics. This track is beautiful, personal and emotional. Amazing.

This could have easily been a 90s club hit. The uptempo beat, bass and piano, with Minogue's fierce vocals make this a potential hit. It's very underrated and I've rarely seen another fan talk about it. The lyrics are lovely, and the oooohs through the track match it well. Another track no one should miss in her discography!

will be adding more tracks later - I'm going outjj2

  16. Hi. jj2

If you're feeling like you're worth 1000 dollars today, or you just wanna pretend like you're a supermodel strutting down the runway that is your 3 meters long carpet, or break your spine as you attempt to do a death drop, this playlist is for you. Or you just want some music to listen to while you're sipping on your whiskey / liquor / coffee / tea / sprite / whatever and read the latest issue of Vogue, then this music is also for you. Enjoy. tea2

(The genres are mostly house and electronic with a little mix of funk and jazz)

I hope you found something new that you might enjoy. Or, if not, at least you actually bothered, and that's what matters. sia2 kylie1

  17. So I got moved up to a different class so im taking state history and the seating chart is all fucked up so I'm isolated from everyone else including my other friend except for this one little asshole that sits behind me rip4

Just yesterday and the previous days before this guy was all whispering in my ear and being all uncomfortably touchy-feely like poking me, touching my hair, trying to tickle my sides, then massaging me etc and whispering in my ear saying stuff like "you want this big dick in you don't you" or "you wanna suck this big cock big boy" or any other "perverted straight guy trying to act gay" talk ALL AS A "JOKE" fall2

He even had me in English class where he kept poking or trying to tickle me whenever he came in out of nowhere until I decided to move seats in that class sia4

I'm literally too afraid to do anything cause of all the "omg im a straight guy acting gay no homo" talk in the school and idk what to do sia4

Including that just today I heard this guy in P.E. class talking to one of my other friends and asked them "so you like the pussy? the booty? you like eating vaginas?" So then my friend replies to him and "well no" then he says "oh well are you saying you like guys then?" and he replies "no i'm not a pervert i just like girls" then the other guy is just looking confused and kept asking him a bunch of more sex questions and etc. rip4
