A lamb's meltdown on the NYE performance
The Ones That Entertain replied to Jon.'s topic in Battlegrounds
I guess I'm not understanding where the problem really started. Was it that she didn't have the ear monitor in when Emotions started? I would think she should have had it in for Auld Lang Syne. It's possible it came out during the transition from ALS to Emotions when she was behind the fans. Even so though, she's performed that song a hundred times and I don't buy the excuse that she lost her spot when the song starts with the chorus and with the background singers singing on the track. But I guess she could have just gotten nervous and never recovered from there. Even so, this see -

I would like to see them do her hair the way they did it at the beginning of the residency and have more fun with it. Get some fun wigs, try some different styles. Not just do a half-assed ponytail every time. The outfits have gotten a lot better over time and the remixes they do to the songs always slay me. -

Should Lady Gaga ditch Joanna and release something new?
The Ones That Entertain replied to Simón.'s topic in Battlegrounds
I said no, simply b/c she pushed the whole Joanne thing so hard before it flopped that she'd look like a total putz if she went back to her old schtick. She's gotta stick with it til the end now and stand by her artistic decisions this era for her to keep any sense of integrity about her music and her image as an artist. I respect that she's sticking to it even though it's not doing well commercially and I would lose that respect for her if she suddenly went back to Fame Monster territory. You made your bed, gorl, now you gotta lie in it. -
Camillas Cabelly has officially left 5ith Harmony!

I can't tell if she's a Nicole Scherzinger or a Beyonce yet cause to be honest, I don't think the group is really going to be missing anything without her there. It's not like anyone in that group really stands out as having the most charisma or stage presence -- they all sorta blend together into one semi-talented trying-to-be-sexy lump. Literally no one stands out in that group or bothers to showcase any distinct personality. The only thing I can see changing for the group is that Work From Home will sound different live and that's about it. -
Artists who ruined their comeback with a SHIT single
The Ones That Entertain replied to BJORK's topic in Battlegrounds
Not to mention it isn't a comeback single -- FF was very successful. Make Me was her "comeback" single after the flop that was Britney Jean. However, Womanizer is the quintessential Britney comeback single. -

I think everyone saw this coming -- but I'm surprised she split at one of the most successful moments of their careers. So are they gonna change their name or no? -
Definitely voted for Mimi -- Glitter was not kind and she didn't really rebound until Emancipation. I don't think Rih has a comeback album -- she's always been very successful -- same with Taylor and Bey. I see a comeback album as one that is successful after the popstar has faltered both in their professional work and personal life. So perched for Gaga's comeback.

Discussion MR Music Video Reaction Thread
The Ones That Entertain replied to SWINΞ 's topic in Lady Gaga
I really liked it. I think the shots of her in the complete Joanne get-up against the white background will be iconic for her career. It didn't need all the hype for it, but I thought it was a good, simple video for a good simple song.- 72 replies

I love MOTM --such a beautiful melody. But I agrih with this. -
Probably one more single, but it won't be heavily promoted and it won't chart as well as the others.

Discussion Stan/Unstan 2016
The Ones That Entertain replied to ajp's topic in Music News & Discussion
Unstanned Lady Gaga. I'm not here for Joanne. I wouldn't say that I unstanned Britney, but I am fed up with her management so I'm close. Maybe next year. Stanned Ariana - I am living for Dangerous Woman. Favorite album of the year, favorite song of the year and she got her shit together for two great videos. -
I don't think a new album will come out til 2018 at the earliest.

I didn't think this was that bad, but I'm also more used to Britney-level styles of performing. She kinda stayed in one place for the majority of the performance, but her vocals were good. And I liked her hair. -

The pretentiousness never goes away with her.
