For some other artists/bands, I like, I can say they are 100% genuine (Kate Bush, Sade, Grace Jones). They have their unique sound and fashion style.

Speaking of pop artists it is Madonna. Sure, she was inspired and integrated certain sounds into her work, but which pop artist didn't do that?

 

She was constantly changing her sound and that set her apart from other pop artists. She was daring, experimental and was one of those who showed pop music can be serious and artistic too.
