Little Mix’s Glory Days equals Official Albums Chart record set by Destiny’s Child

Little Mix’s Glory Days continue as the group’s latest collection keeps its place at Number 1 on this week’s Official Albums Chart. The album – the quartet’s fourth – logs a fourth week at the summit. The last girl group album to notch up as many weeks at Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart was Destiny’s Child, who managed four weeks at the top in 2001/2002 with Survivor. Glory Days was one of the ten biggest albums of 2016 – check out the full Top 40 here. To date, its combined sales stand at 434,000.

Little Mix hold off strong competition this week from Pete Tong’s Classic House, a collection of dance classics re-worked in collaboration with the Heritage Orchestra. The album vaults from 24 to Number 2 today following a stellar performance on Graham Norton’s New Year’s Eve Show.
