Politics Hillary receives standing ovation at the Color Purple's final show

When Vice President-elect Mike Pence attended a showing of Hamilton in November, he was greeted with resounding boos and a plea for tolerance from the cast. Hillary Clinton elicited a dramatically different reaction yesterday when she attended the final performance of The Color Purple on Broadway, receiving multiple standing ovations from the audience as well as another round of applause after being acknowledged on stage by the cast.

No matter what people say, she's iconic clap3

Give it up already. She lost, Bernie looks like a knight in shining armor, and Donald Trump is president. Her career as a politician is over and now millions of people might lose health insurance, women's reproductive rights are being attacked, white nationalists and people who oppose LGBT rights are filing into the white house, the rich are going to get tax cuts, the swamp was filled up with even bigger, corrupt alligators than before, the conservative and fact ignoring conservatives control the country, our relations with other world leaders are slowly weakening as we become the laughing stock of the globe, and women were reminded that no matter how qualified they are for a promotion, they will still lose it to an underqualified man. Rich, angry white men have won and women and minorities have lost.

The woman who dedicated 30+ of her lives to public service and was just a much of a politician than the other 44 men we elected, who you think is more corrupt and a bigger liar than the man an outdated political system helped elect, will not be president or be a politician anytime soon. Let it go. You got what you wanted.

Also despite how corrupt, dishonest, hawkish, and bought you think she is - no woman has come this close to the oval office and that itself breaks so many glass ceilings and barriers for future women to come.
