With ten days until the start of the Trump Presidency, Democrats can indulge in a wistful game of "What Might Have Been." The conversations that Politico Co-Founder Mike Allen has had with Brooklyn survivors make it clear that Hillary staffers and supporters had astonishingly specific, widely known/accepted roles planned for her administration. "Measuring the drapes" is a cliché; a notional org chart is real life.

While Trump had to scramble to build a government starting Nov. 9, Clinton had a team in waiting. By Election Day, her roster was so refined that most jobs just had one name.

In an ironic twist of fate, most of these choices would have sparked a revolt from the progressive wing of the party.

The most notable choices being John Podesta and Joe Biden in the running for Secretary of State, Loretta Lynch being retained as Attorney General, Tom Perez as head of the DNC and Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour running head to head with former Clinton State Department Official Tom Nides as Ambassador to the United Kingdom.

I have no doubt that most of this list, if not all of it, is real.

It fits perfectly in hindsight.

It doesn't factor in Cecile. There were rumours she would leave Planned Parenthood to go to Hillary interesting1

I normally would have ignored it - but considering the source, it might have some merit.

Oh I didn't mean you shouldn't have posted it! I just think Wintour is a terrible choice lmao

True, or maybe she backed out when it looked like they wouldn't recapture congress.
