Xtinct - I stanned during her debut, hated during Dirrty but cooled off when I got Stripped and ripped the handful of songs I could bear to listen to multiple times, then stanned hard during Back To Grammys, stanned a biT for a few weeks during Bionic, but fell the fuck off by the end of the era and Lotus did nothing to pick me back up. I realized that yelling entire songs and overriffing to the point of making Beyonka sound restrained isn't necessarily good singing, especially when it sounds like said singer is in physical pain while doing so. I also realized that she truly thinks she's God's gift to music and has an incredibly high opinion of even her poppiest material. Brinty - BJ is where she fell the fuck off for me. I use a handful of songs from the album, but she just doesn't give me anything to STAN for anymore. And neither one is willing to properly promote their shit. Xtinct performed every song from Lotus on TV BUT the lead single, which IIRC, was only performed in a Jimmy Fallon skit. Which is more than Brinty Joan got, but still. If you tell me the Gaga "feud," Monsters, Perez, and label interference caused Bionic to flop, I'll simply add in "That and the GP just wasn't here for it" but I won't argue that they didn't do a lot of the damage, but Lotus? That was entirely her fault and that of her PR team. Brinty Joan is so many people's fault, including Brinty herself, that idek where to begin. I also had a mini-stan time for Gargoyle during TFM era, although I only like about 4 songs from that CD. After BTW, tho, she fell the fuck off. Again, insufferable pretentious personality, doing way too much to convince people that basic generic dance pop songs were high art, etc. And Shartpop pretty much backed up the opinions I formed during BTW, except the cracks were beginning to show with her multiple meltdowns about "I WRITE FOR MUSIC NOT THE CHARTS, not here's a link to loop Applause on YouTube all day, please do so.
