About this blog

Hey FLOPers,

This blog will hold my EOY charts and maybe weekly charts if I can be bothered jj2

Entries in this blog

#354 | #1 Backup Plan, #2 BUIAST, #5 Body, #10 Downtown's Dead

Plested beats Sam Hunt's dominance with his newest single Backup Plan coming in at #1 with 116 plays. Rediscovering Sam Hunt helps 17 songs by him enter the chart which is due to listening to his latest single Downtown's Dead last week, which makes a new peak of #10. The country dominance doesn't stop with Sam Hunt as Thomas Rhett's discography gets a boost and helps his single Craving You jump 34 places to #14.

#323 | #1 80's Films, #5 Andalouse, #6 Low, #11 LWYMMD

Another number 1 for Jon Bellion with 80's Films making this his 5th number one altogether but falling elsewhere on the chart. New artist on the chart scene Shawn Hook is catching up to Jon for domination, debuting at #2 on the Artist Chart with 4 new songs. One of those songs, Never Let Me Let You Go comes in at #2 with 37 plays. Another discovery is Todrick Hallwith with the very catchy song Low with RuPaul.

#322 | #1 All Time Low, #13 Unforgettable, #25 LWYMMD, #30 Starboy

Jon Bellion's most popular song All Time Low finally makes it to #1 after 38 weeks in the chart. I was surprised to find out the song hasn't been #1 before since this is my most played Jon Bellion song with 310 plays. Despite overplaying his discography for a 3rd week in a row, other songs by him climb a couple of places with new peaks and even 80's Films enters for the first time. Canadian underrated artist Scott Helman misses out from the #1 spot with Sweet Tooth debuting at #2. Finally, after Unforgettable by Thomas Rhett reached #1 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart last week, the song and also Craving You re-enter.

#321 | #1 Wait, #8 All Time Low, #39 Anywhere, #40 New Rules

Jon Bellion is still going strong with 24 appearances in this weeks chart, although Broken Back's newest single Wait climbs to the top making this his first #1. One More Time by Jon Bellion is the highest debut at #2 as last week there were so many Jon Bellion songs that I listened to, this song got snubbed but not this week. Fell in love with Kendji Girac's song Jamais à genoux all over again which is why it's the highest climber, climbing 41 places. Only its third week on the chart, I Was Never Yours by Martin Brothers drops 44 places to #48, making it the highest faller. The longest runner goes to Kendji Girac with his song Andalouse after re-entering the chart and racking up its 112th week since the chart started. Finally, a quick shameless promo shoutout that Jon is up for Best Push at this year's MTV EMAs and you can vote for him here.

#320 | #1 2 Rocking Chairs, #2 Mi Mala, #13 All Time Low

More charts this week: Artist | Album
I'll try to keep up with these charts from now on. So I've finally had time this week to listen to a past Jon Bellion mixtape thanks to him releasing them all on streaming services, went for The Separation and wasn't disappointed. This guy is so talented, he can: rap, sing, write but most importantly he can produce very creative and well-polished songs, which is what I fell in love with his music in the first place from listening to The Human Condition and The Definition already. 2 Rocking Chairs is the sweetest song I have listened to in a long time and it was love at first listen which frankly goes to all the songs on the mixtape. It's natural that I listened to his recent songs again which is why some songs on THC and TD charted this week, I am not complaining lol. I highly suggest you check this guy out, you won't find 2 songs that are the same. When I first heard Mi Mala by Mau y Ricky, I was shocked to find reggaeton beats in there since they're a mostly Latin indie/pop duo but it's a bop and a half. And finally, Broken Back enters back on the chart with some songs from his newest debut album. What an unusual voice that works with the deep/tropical house sounds. I didn't get the chance to listen and spam the album fully this week so it could be Broken Back's chart next week.

Entea's EOY 2015 Music Charts: Introduction

x   Since I'm new what a better way to start of this blog by posting my EOY of 2015, this way you can get a sense of who I stan for. Call me lazy but I will be copying and pasting from my last.fm profile and not in the form of a detailed countdown. The reason for this is that most of you will probably think 99% of my chart entries are irrelevant and also I'll just over think the layout and spend ages actually making it.   I have tried to make my last.fm data as acuate as possible, even went to the extreme of manually adding songs that I've missed. Having said this I don't know the cut off point is on last.fm so this can be hours out of date. I will be posting my top 40 artists, albums and songs so hopefully by posting this some people will find new music that they'll like.
