Review: Dangerous Woman - Ariana Grande
Dangerous Woman - Ariana Grande
1. Moonlight: 7/10
Such a cute ballad With Moonlight, Ariana has done a pretty good job at capturing the feeling of falling in love. I didn't used to think this was a good intro, but now I like it where it is.
2. Dangerous Woman: 8/10
I think Dangerous Woman often gets a hard time for not being a good enough lead single. I don't think it's the best on the album, but I do think it is a fitting lead single, capturing the general feel of the album. The verses are sleek, and the chorus is boppable.
3. Be Alright: 6/10
My opinion on Be Alright has changed so much When it was first released as a promo single, I loved it, then I disliked it. When the album came out, I loved Be Alright again. Now I still like it, but I just find it kinda bland and middle of the road
4. Into You: 10/10
And here's the first grade "A" BOP. How this is flopping is beyond me. Into You is a perfectly structured, pop gem, complete with Ariana's charm. The chorus effortlessly makes me wet.
5. Side to Side (feat. Nicki Minaj): 8.5/10
Another one of the big bops of Dangerous Woman. I really love Side to Side's reggae feel, which is one reason it stands out. I also think Nicki's verse is great.and not filler "Wrist icicle, ride dick bicycle" is >>>>>>>>>>>.
6. Let Me Love You (feat. Lil Wayne): 7.5/10
I feel like people give Let Me Love You a hard time because of Lil Wayne's verse. I wish LMLY were solo, but I don't dislike Wayne's verse any. About the rest of the song: LMLY overall is a really chilled R&B jam. It REALLY reminds me of this song though https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KQo1Eio76xk
7. Greedy: 8/10
I don't really obsess over Greedy like most people seem to do, but I still think it's great. Them vocals The production
8. Leave Me Lonely (feat. Macy Gray): 6/10
No shade to Macy Gray herself, but I don't think her vocals sound right on the same song as Ariana. When Macy Gray's part comes back in, I feel like it's a rigid transition from Ariana's smooth vocals, to like some raspy evil character coming out to serenade me about dangerous love Aside from Macy Gray, this is a good song. It just needed to be solo, cause Ariana's parts serve.
9. Everyday (feat. Future): 9/10
Y'all can drag me, but Everyday is amazing My pussy pops severely to this. Even Future serves, which is a rare occurrence. I love the chorus, but it could be better. To me, the best parts of the song are the verses and the "la la la la la" parts
10. Sometimes: 10/10
Sometimes is such a fantastic pop song It reminds me of driving around at sunset. The bridge is one of the best of her career so far. I just don't see how anyone could dislike this hymn.
11. I Don't Care: 5/10
I feel like I could be on a really classy cruise ship with Ariana singing to me when I listen to I Don't Care. Granted that, this song doesn't really go much of anywhere. Probably the least memorable song on the album.
12. Bad Decisions: 7.5/10
"Ain't you ever seen a princess be a bad bitch" A bop, but not as a solid of a bop as some of the other bops on the album. Not much else to say.
13. Touch It: 10/10
*Red Sea parts*
*Heavenly trumpets sound*
*Prostates of gays around the world are massaged*
Touch It is literally god sent and I'm very sorry if you haven't realized this yet. The production is >>>>> especially with good earbuds or headphones. I flood the entire Eastern US when the chorus begins. My favorite Ariana song.
14. Knew Better / Forever Boy: 6/10
I really disliked KB/FB when Dangerous Woman first came out, but now I like it a little more. I will say that I don't like Forever Boy's chorus at all. It's like a failed orgasm. Overall, this is an okay song though and I LOVE the transition from Knew Better to Forever Boy
15. Thinking Bout You: 9/10
Couldn't have picked a better song to conclude the album. It's beautiful and airy, and I find it so emotional. The bridge is absolutely gorgeous
Album Score: 78%
Dangerous Woman is Ariana's best album by far and just a fantastic album overall. There's a couple missteps, but she's got better with each album, and I hope this trend of getting better each time continues
The best: Touch God, Into You, Sometimes, Everyday, Thinking Bout You,
I've decided to include a scores section at the end of my review to see how the albums I've reviewed stand in comparison with one another.
