H.O.N.E.Y 11,164 Posted October 22, 2016 You fasting and binging diet is gonna make u gain weight, sis. Just focus on having breakfast cos usually eating breakfast makes u hungrier for lunch when noon comes, so by eating breakfast you're regulating your whole 3 meal a day schedule. About this Tom person. I told u to cut loose anyone bringing him info about u. Did u weed out the spies? If not, blame yourself. Also don't go checking what he's saying, you'll drive yourself nuts with that and get more paranoid than u already are. Cut communication with all people in that forum. Quote Looking back I was the one trying it with them and getting defensive, and I'm kind of embarrassed about it especially since no one has checked up on me to make sure I'm doing okay. I did lash out at them before leaving, but I also happen to have a lot of stuff going on. Tell me about it, that's exactly what I felt like these past few days: Quote Link to comment

Part of the breakfast thing is that I don't wake up early enough in the morning to eat anything, so I just skip it and my body is used to it at this point. I'm going to try to starting going to bed earlier so that I have time in the morning to eat, even if it's just cereal or toast. I don't know why I ever got myself into doing this, it's not like I need to lose any more weight. I have the build of Calista Flockhart and I always have. 2 hours ago, H.O.N.E.Y said: Also don't go checking what he's saying, you'll drive yourself nuts with that and get more paranoid than u already are. Even though I stopped looking I'm going to block the site on my computer anyway, just in case I get tempted. I think I know the Twitter followers he was getting stuff through, and they are out of the picture. 2 hours ago, H.O.N.E.Y said: Tell me about it, that's exactly what I felt like these past few days: I saw this whole thing, and my situation is pretty similar. You're all too kind. I LOVE Harry Potter. Growing up, I was always known as the kid who was obsessed with it. I was also known as the Hermione of my school. When people come into my room for the first time, they think I have a problem because of the amount of Harry Potter stuff everywhere. It has so many important life lessons, amazing characters, a timeless story, a magical world to escape to, and it pretty much saved my life. I could probably talk about it forever. Thanks again! 1 Quote Link to comment

The essay prompt was "Provide an answer to a question with no concrete answer." So I chose "What does it mean to be a feminist?" as my topic! I mostly talked about how listening to Beyonce and watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer helped to shape my identity as a feminist, and that there's nothing more to the label than simply believing in the equality of the sexes, and that policing who should be able to identify as a feminist is anti-feminist in itself. Nothing new or groundbreaking there, it was pretty much just a testimony about my journey with feminism! 1 Quote Link to comment

Go tell that to these lesbian faux feminists and their belief that Women > Men, not Women = Men... and also their belief that anyone thinking different is an anti Feminist. But at the end of the day we have to also recognize that when u say that equality and stuff of the like, some people might take it as an opportunity to do to women what is acceptable to be done to men, whatever those things and based on whichever culture you look at. For example, would u, a feminist, be ok with a government forcing women to go to war because of equality being a part of the country's system to the point that it's mandatory for women to be soldiers even if they're MOTHERS? Like it's deeper than what Bey or Xtina talk about in their feminist songs. Quote Link to comment
H.O.N.E.Y 11,164 Posted October 23, 2016 @Tiny Little Bows I'd keep an eye for that "friend" that keeps sending u links to the forum. I'm not pointing fingers just telling u to look into it, why that person cares about your reactions to what Tom says.... Knowing that you're scared because u saw Tom say this and that would probably give Tom pleasure... So think more about the motives of showing u those links... Quote Link to comment

I definitely think that the feminism as portrayed in the mainstream media coming from people like Emma Watson as well as those you mentioned can be a watered-down SparkNotes version of the real thing, but as flawed as their branding is, at least they're bringing awareness to it and getting people to talk about it who otherwise might not have been exposed to those concepts. Not to diss anyone here considering that FOTP is a pop music forum, but pop is engineered to appeal to the lowest common denominator, and most people who listen to it probably aren't familiar with Gloria Steinem or bell hooks. I mean, Flawless and Can't Hold Us Down are what got me into it and now I'm taking a sociology course and writing essays about feminism! Quote Link to comment

I mean, Flawless and Can't Hold Us Down are what got me into it and now I'm taking a sociology course and writing essays about feminism! I definetly think Can't Hold Us Down asked important questions, which is so much more intelligent than just saying "We are strong and we rule...etc" If only that song/video got more attention back then, it would've been interesting to see how youth and society would've reacted to it,basically whatever attention she got with DIRRTY should've been on this too cos imo it's way more provocative to ask these questions in a sexist storyline than just showing skin and dancing raunchy. Personally I'm a feminist cos when I saw my mother and other women on TV get beat up or verbally abused by their man, I knew then and there that this is wrong, this should stop, I want to stop it, etc So my feminism is never letting anyone, not a woman nor a boy, no weaker person... get beat/bullied or have their rights taken away. I guess it's molded into that for me, Justice for All and esp the WEAK. I think Hollywood is a mess for focusing on women's salaries not being equal AT A TIME WHEN WOMEN ARE STILL BEING BEATEN AND KILLED BY THE THOUSANDS DAILY DUE TO THEM BEING WEAKER AND SOCIETY/THE LAW NOT PROTECTING THEM. That's my opinion, once you're done with the big issues then think of the smaller issues. That speach at the Emmys(?) wherever it was.. with Patricia Arquette should've been asking HILARY TO PROVIDE DEFINITE SAFETY FOR WOMEN IF SHE WINS THE ELECTION. But then again... Hilary's feminism: Quote Link to comment
