Yes I have clap1 It was SO good cry6 Let me praise ha a bit lj1

Spoiler

Rey is a fucking babe clap1 She's a badass and not annoyingly endearing as some protagonists fall prey to. I have so much love for this character ugh. And her dynamic with Finn, who I also adore, is really sweet but not irritatingly so. The sets as a whole, but particularly on Jakku during Rey's scavenging excursions, were so well done cry4  The only thing that struck me as a criticism was relying too much on A New Hope's plotline, and the climatic death was laughably predictable. I appreciate a good homage, but the death star rehashing was a bit much. I was also weirdly underwhelmed by Kylo Ren's character after he'd revealed himself, but when I watched it a second time, that initial vulnerability he showed after the fact, wasn't necessarily the bearings of a weak antagonist, but a multi-faceted one. So he's grown on me a lot, and let's face it, he's absolutely menacing in that black get up (are those shoulders even real oprah6) I'm looking forward to his and Rey's inevitable confrontation and whether he'll concede to the light as his grandfather had oprah13 Also bb8 is perfect cry3 I'm just very taken with this new series I'm overwhelmed fall4

Spoiler

I'm actually surprised Rey was the protagonist in the making, knowing Harrison and Chewie were coming back. Boy I was so wrong. I literally avoided trailers and plot summaries and remained a virgin till the movie comes out. I love Rey, she's so endearing. her sad back story, her struggles. she's everything. That probs why she's so good at things cause she has look out for herself ALL THE GODDAMN TIME.

Yeah, I kinda noticed homage too, I'm mean even at the beginning, Poe was communicating with BB8 like how Leia was with R2D2, Starkiller and the Deathstar. but nevertheless the story flowed naturally and I kinda predicted they were gonna kill off Han, Star Wars does this first sequel thing where masters die kind of stuff, Obi-Wan in Episode IV and Qui-Gon in Episode I, ultimately they did Han. Somone has to fill that spot.

Kylo is brilliant at what he does, the whole prepubescent rage, all that hormonal shit! I just like the way how he snaps, PURE KIIS, He's like what Anakin should have been! Hayden was terrible omfg, Adam Driver was fantastic as Kylo.

I sure do hope Kylo and Rey's next battlescene will be epic! Their last fight in the woods was just a preview at what is comming! WE ARE ALL NOT READY! alex1

I'm pretty overwhelmed too! I'm mean I came out at the cinema and I was like I just coudn't wait what's next! its a first! Usually I just feel like talking about what were the good and bad bits of the movie but TFA made me want for more! Partly because of the main hero is a female! They're really risking this franchise! Korra, ha impact! Female as a lead and a male as the love interest! Can't wait for Rey and Fin to reunite in Episode 8! I like them both! they've got good chemistry!

Han dying didnt have impact on me even tho he was my fave but what really brought me down in tears was when Chewie saw Han died, I FELT HIS PAIN! I thought he was gonna cause a scene and make matters worst because lets be real one would literally be heartbroken by witnessing that scene, but he didnt he handled it well, he's so tough! They've been partners for life and it's bad enough it was his son who did it. Truly tragic, my poor heart. cry5 oprah4 alex1

So yeah, I have high hopes for this franchise. I grew up with 1-3, I still love it even tho they're shit, 4-6 are objectively the best but I wish I grew up with them. But 7-9 will change that now! the next 5 years will be interesting. oprah1 Rey and Chewie as the new Han and Chewie cry7 Shit is about to get real! ny1

BTW, what is your fave from the 1-3 and 4-6? respectivey. creep1

Spoiler

I was genuinely concerned that Finn would replace Rey's storyline once he started using the lightsaber meant for her. I'm glad he didn't though. We deserve to watch a female jedi's journey unfold cry1

I definitely have a newfound appreciation for Kylo, because I was ripping on him after I left the theatre kii And I'm glad bc the antagonist makes or breaks a story just as much at the hero, if not more so lj1 You're right, he is a bit like a live wire, highly reactive and emotional, the exact opposite of Vader.

What were some of your favourite moments? hay1 Mine was when Kylo uses the force to attract the lightsaber but Rey gets it first scream1

Episode 3, because Haden Christensen's acting was improved, and the betrayal of the jedi order/destruction of the temple got a strong emotional reaction out of me, which is rare. The battle on Mustafar and it's conclusion was brutal yet satisfying, and Obi Wan was a badass, as per usual rav2 The only redeeming factor in Phantom Menace was Qui Guan Jin and the battle with Darth Maul. Jar Jar Binks was a mistake lj1

4-6 were at times a chore to watch, simply bc the cgi was so dated, especially 4 during the death star pilot scenes mad5 Return of the Jedi would be my fave, though the reveal in Empire Strikes Back and the fight with Vader was pretty good too. I just realized Luke and Han's storylines parallel each other in 5 shock1 Luke's when he was frozen on the snow planet/moon and Han's when he was frozen in carbonite.

Which are your faves? demi1
