Chris 57,788 Posted November 28, 2016 lemme send my thoughts EDIT: done! Dear Elector, My name is Chris Morlock from Mount Laurel, NJ. Despite Hillary Clinton winning the popular vote, the president-elect trump won the candidacy. Why? The system is rigged to be honest. She won the popular vote but trump won because he reached the 270 electoral mark. i feel that if a candidate wins the popular vote, they become the next president. But the electoral college isn't the "voice of the people" the founding fathers wanted in the government system. Now people such as my self are deeply afraid of trump's actions once he's in office because of his, lets say "out-spoken" personality. He's been demeaning women and is clearly racist and doesn't support minorities as Hillary did and still does. She fights for ALL Americans, not just a certain group of people or race, economic status, religion, etc. Within less than a day of the election, bigots nation-wide acted against minorities saying things like "Can't wait till your marriage is revoked" towards LGBT community members or "Go back to Mexico/wherever you came from" to Hispanics, Muslims, etc. Had Hillary won, those bigot-like things would never had happened because trump is the voice of hate and prejudice. Thank you for your time and consideration, I appreciate and respect the role you serve in our electoral process. Sincerely, Chris 1 Quote Link to comment
