15 Random Things I Love

Trick or treaters

Super Mario Bros. 3

When I write down some random idea I had in the middle of the night only to look at it in the morning and realize it makes no fucking sense

Cats, especially my own

Potatoes, in all their forms

The trailer for the movie Tiptoes. I think all it's missing is a comedy record scratch, like so:

- "He always told her he came from a small family, but this... *WHIRRRP!" ...is NOT what she expected!"

That hairdresser that I had once who never tried to chat about pointless bullshit with me when she was cutting my hair. So much so that I tipped her $20.

The word "schmuck"

Beeker, from The Muppet Show

Weekend at Bernie's, a film in which two working stiffs party hard with their former boss, a literal stiff

The fact that Nicole Kidman and Katie Holmes nailed both Tom Cruise and Batman

Banana bread

Body horror

Rachel Bloom, singer/writer/dancer/actress/comedienne extraordinaire

The Masque of the Red Death by Edgar Allan Poe

To show I'm not a totally negative asshole...

I too love cats, banana bread, and Katie Holmes and Nicole Kidman! Queens of escaping Scientology. cry6

This list almost makes up for hating the beach...almost.

Do you mind if I steal this idea and make my own blog post for it? I want to write something and I don't have any ideas.

Nah, go for it.

I'm not particularly a proponent of Scientology, but I always thought its kookiness was kind of overrated, at least when you compare it with other religions that have just existed longer. I mean, if I had never heard of either religion before, was brought up to speed on both and then asked if I was more likely to buy that the alien Thetans were reborn inside our souls or that the events described in the Bible all literally happened, I'd pick the former orangu1

It's not their beliefs, but all of the lies and abuse that go on behind closed doors. I've studied it for years and it's truly horrifying dead2

Was Andrew McCarthy lovely in Weekend at Bernie's, or what? B-list Michael J Fox to be honest.

Mannequin is kinda fun too, even though it's completely stupid.
