-Apple Music-

Afbeeldingsresultaat voor bts albumAfbeeldingsresultaat voor twenty one pilots albumAfbeeldingsresultaat voor arizona gallery albumAfbeeldingsresultaat voor frenship ep

Okay, guys, here's the thing. I've been having an Apple Music subscription for a very long time, but I mostly spend it listening to (amazing) soundtracks. Like from the Studio Ghibli movies, Disney movies, even from amazing games like; Monument Valley & Journey and the list goes on.
But I actually really want to get into some new -underdog- music and artists. So from now on this blog entry is open for any recommendations. I will start with taking on different albums. I think I'll pick about four albums for every week. And I'm open to all kind of recommendations! My music range goes from Tokio Hotel to Lana del Rey, from Britney Spears to Marilyn Manson.. ;) As you guys can see in my Music Collection blog.

So, a few things I already picked out myself to try this upcoming week;

-Up Next-
BTS - Wings
Twenty One Pilots - twenty one pilots
Arizona - Gallery
Frenship - Truce [EP]

(I will post your recommendations here)

Have you listened to any Florence + the Machine albums yet? If not, I'd love to recommend you Ceremonials yas2

I haven't actually.. I'm not really that drawn to her voice but the music of the songs that were released do sound good.. so I'll give it a try.

Coming from the kpop thread, I think albums released under SM Entertainment in general are a good way to get into the genre, they're pretty Western-pandering and while that doesn't necessarily make them good (in fact, there aren't many truly good full albums in kpop, it's mostly about strong singles), they're definitely more accessible to international fans. For a start I'd recommend:

f(x) - Pink Tape
Exo - Ex'act
Red Velvet - The Red
SHINee - 1 of 1
Girls' Generation - The 1st Japanese Album

If you feel like getting into Korean music more after that, I'd also say these:

IU - Modern Times
T-ara - Absolute First Album
Wonder Girls - Reboot

are the best kpop albums I've heard (along with Pink Tape) and that seems to be a pretty general agreement within the fandom. Also B*S are only representative of the "edgy!!1 hep hap xD" boygroup concept which is the absolute worst the genre has to offer imo so I hope they don't discourage you in case you end up not liking Wings.

Thank you so much!! I'm going to look into all of these.

And tbh, I'm already falling in love with a lot of the BTS songs, so I'm not so worried tehe1
