Unread Books Project

My Unread Books Challenge

Okay, so I'm not sure how many people are actually interested in reading this, but the thing is, I am a bookworm. Other thing is, I love to collect books and Donald Duck Pockets (<is what they're called here in Holland)

I count a total of 224 books and 116 pockets in my collection.
Problem is, I often buy new books, instead of first reading a descent amount of the books that I currently already own. And visiting the library from time to time doesn't really help with that. So right now, I kinda wanna start my own project of reading more of my own books than purchasing them.

Right now I haven't read 80 of the books that I own. fall1 LORD, HELP ME!

It's really confronting to actually see those numbers. I never thought it would be that much, dear Jesus!

Out of my Donald Duck Collection I've only read 41 pockets out of the 116.

Who's interested to follow the progress I'm gonna (try) to make?

Disclaimer: I see a ton of books in my collection that I bought when I still went to High School and I actually don't really feel that much of a desire to pick them up and actually read them, but I can't deal with getting rid of them or anything either. I'm already procrastinating.

P.S. If you wish to be removed from any future taglists, please let me know!

You do have comics, but the ones that I have are more like a manga format, so I count them as books as Goodreads does too. I even think they're more like a graphic novel nowadays, they have a sh*t ton of dialog right now, it's no way 'just a comic' anymore.

Charmed had a ton of a books, yes. I have a full series containing 30 volumes and then a few bigger books. Gilmore Girls does have books, but sadly I don't have any.. those are my DVD boxes shown on the picture.

Hun, I've seen Charmed too many times I've lost count, and I'm currently on my 12th re-watch of Gilmore Girls. Gilmore Girls is my lifestyle, it's a religion.

Graphic novel or comic, it is the same to me. eve1 Even in the book formats like manga.

I was thinking about re-watching Gilmore Girls again, but I doubt I will do it. I used to watch it in the past and re-watched it for the first time  last year. I realized they are such a pain in the ass. I can't handle them again.  sia2

Good grief. Those are a lot of books. That reminds me that I need to go to the library today an dget new books. I've just read a couple of books that made me love reading even more. I should probably get myself a Kindle, so that I can read and be exposed to many other types of books.

P.S. Have you ever read a book series called The Selection?

Ahh, cool! Yes my mom and I have a library subscription together. Only about 35 euro's each year and then we can rent as many books as we want. I always have preferred the physical copies over the eBooks. tehe1 But of course I understand for other people, eBooks might have a preference when it's more convenient.

Yes, is that by Kiera Cass (was her name right?) I've only read the original trilogy. I started the second one a long while ago but the main character was annoying me to no end so I had to put that one down. I might pick it up somewhere in the future, because I am curious how it's gonna continue. Just couldn't deal with her indecisiveness at the time.

Ahh. I was wanting to do eBooks, just os that I can have a wide selection on what to read, without paying for each book all of the time.

And that was the author's name. I read the first one, and I LOVED it. Though, I understand about the main character. America isn't the most likeable person I've read in a book, and I don't understand how Celeste didn't get kicked out of the competition. Plus, Prince Maxon is kind of bothersome at times.  I don't understand why he didn't kick her out, when she has had a history of being rude, problematic, and a primadonna. I just want to keep reading, because I love the story itself and I want to see what happens next.

I also happened to read a book called "The Takedown". It was about a girl who had a fake video made on her, and they tried to find out who did it. Her reputation is kind-of destroyed, the teacher gets fired, and there is drama in the story. I can't spoil too much about it, but it's really good, and it made me enjoy reading again.

I really need to read more books, though and get caught up with what I missed.

Haha, yeah I agree about America. And Celeste was such a witch with a b. tehe1

The Takedown sounds interesting.

I´m almost finished with the Ravenboys by Maggie Stiefvater. :D

Yeah, so far my Goodreads challenge says I'm on track, so hopefully I can keep it that way..
