Coherence – an unsettling indie sci-fi thriller, it's low budget but so good in a weird way.

Annihilation – another sci-fi thriller type movie but really (aesthetically) beautiful at some parts and it's on Netflix ! (in my country at least).

Wind River – just watched this recently and found it so sad and touching, i was with ppl so i tried not to cry but i got SO close at like 3 diff points in throughout.

That's all i can think of atm other than Madonna's Truth or Dare and Priscilla if you've happened to have never watched those but u probly have if ur a gay persn. gaycat1

I watched Coherence and it was really amazing, I loved the plot. I like movies like this. It was a little boring at the first 20 minutes. 8/10

Great movie choices. I watched them all, except Cold Mountain.

I watched Jawberaker a long time ago. I don't even remember the plot, but I remember that girl's transformation and suddenly becoming "cool". jj3

I re-watched Dangerous Minds again a few months ago on TV.

I need to re-watch Girl, Interrupted. oprah2

Chicago was great. The best musical of the 2000s, besides Moulin Rouge.

The Craft is one of those cool movies. They don't make such cult movies anymore.

Annihilation is a must see. I watched it a few days ago, Very interesting. It was based on a book and is very different than the book. There are three books,  but there won't be movie sequels.

Girl With A Pearl Earring is a really fantastic historical drama, based on the famous painting of the same name. A lot of quiet tension, and the cinematography itself looks like a Vermeer painting. Scarlet Johanson is gorgeous and is wonderful in it. And so is Colin Firth, if you think he's sexy.

Miss Hokusai not sure if you're into animation, but this is a fantastic recent film about the daughter of a famous painter. Also a historical drama, but it has elements of the supernatural within. Very charming and heartwarming, and may even tug on your heartstrings a bit. The animation is very fluid and unique. On Netflix! (I suggest watching it in Japanese w/ subtitles)

Spotlight haven't seen this since last year, but I recall it being a very good drama. About the group of journalists in the 90s who exposed the Catholic church for harboring and hiding the massive sexual abuse/pedophilia committed by their priests.

The Propaganda Game this documentary is a unique look inside North Korea. It isn't your normal "scandalous" exposé of North Korea's crimes. It does not hide its falsehoods, but focuses more on the daily life of those in the capitol and the "image" NK presents to visitors.

Tab Hunter Confidential another documentary. Talks about classic hollywood star Tab Hunter who had to hide his sexuality. He's out now in his older age, but the film chronicles his hidden life during the height of his career including scandals and the "straight smile" he had to put on for the public.

No I appreciate u actually watching them and I’m glad u liked jj2 Yeah that light house scene is freaky and lowkey disturbing, I need to watch it again to really get it all, same with the other one I said lol they both require some extra thinking afterwards which I guess I like. The third one I mentioned (Wind River) is pretty sad so only watch it if you’re ready for that kind of mood, it’s not boring-sad tho imo lol, I was very invested and touched tbh. jj3
