  4. Uncle semi-flopped because Dark Horse was so massive as a promo it eclipsed it and they had to rush release DH. Birthday was released too soon during DH's takeover. It also had a shit non-event video. TIHWD no one expected to do well with no promo. Plus, Thinking of You went #29 back in the day and her next five hits AFTER it were #1. The absolute REACH at you using a song performed once at the Grammys and a holiday song snippet, both never released as singles. Next. Come back when Katy actually starts a new era and isn't scoring the biggest song of her career from the prev

  5. I'm no Katy fan, but you have to look at the bigger picture here. Before those flops she scored 2 of her biggest hits of her career, Roar & Dark Horse. Her album sold well and she went on a sold out (?) tour. So yeah, she flopped a bit, but she had a very successful era. She's not over by any means. She can still suceed with her next album (or flop). I wouldn't give that holiday single too much attention. After all, it's just a side project.

  6. Even if she won't win anything (which is veRIH unlikely), she'll still turn up looking like a gorgeous bitch, have fun and be able to celebrate the end of an amazing era that allowed her to collectively shit on eveRIHone and eveRIHthing in all sales, cRIHTAYcal acclaim and touring departments for a fourth consecutive time. And after the Grammys, she'll come home to this: I'm sure she will be just fine, sis!

  7. She won't win album of the year. But the mere fact that all her albums post-Fearless have been nominated is a true testament to her being an accodales magnet. Other faves have never been bestowed this much praise and acclaim in their careers. And they probably never will.

  8. One more nom and possibly a win is coming for the WOMAN OF THE YEAR First the Grammy Then the Oscar The Emmy And who could forget the Golden Globes? The living legend Lady Gaga will probably get her EGOT in 2016. I LIVE

  9. Immigrant Sex Queen Selena Gomez has scored another Top 10 hit off her "Revival" album. This is yet another win against poisonous leech Demi Lovato, who has been struggling to peddle her ill-named album "Confident" to the GP. Why is it that in spite of Selena's very obvious limitations regarding talent and performing skills is she able to triumph over talented-but-noxious Demi? Why has the GP taken well to Selena's music and not towards Demi's? It's not like Demi's songs are particularly hard to digest. She's gone at lenght at how they tried to make her aural diarrhea as accesible as poss

  17. I was just about to post this. TALENT ALWAYS WINS. Really what a crazy year for her. I'm glad we all stuck with her before the bandwagon stans come back. I'm so excited for her to push this song for award season and make it a hit. It'll be hard to win, but I think she can try

  19. because her music doesn't prompt that much discussion? it's not something most people would wanna drag for filth because it's never trashy, but it's usually not interesting enough to warrant pages worth of intense scrutiny

  23. It's actually quite opposite Rihanna releases pop influenced song - destroys pop radios (of course smashing on rnb stations too). Same goes for Beyonce. Gaga releases rnb influenced song (DWUW) - rnb stations are not touching it (not smashing on pop radios neither) Justice for DWUW

  25. the ignorance Katy did not flop when her own single overshadowed her recent single which actually means Dark Horse is superior and the song of 2014, Roar & Dark Horse themselves are 2 of Katy's signature hits, the PRISM era was actually one of the best (pop) eras this decade, even if Uncle, Birthday, TIHWD (this didn't flop so hard but oh well) flopped. She had her best performances and videos (excluding Birthday ) that era, even if some might call them basic. The real magic is with her ballads, which are actually quite emotional when you listen to them. And you should

Me, myself and I will light a candle in front of my local TayLord shrine and chant hymns like "Long Live" and "O Taysus What a Wonderful Child" while praying in the direction of her New York appartment. And I'll be having a thread consisting of vaRIHous gif and jpgs stolen from vaRIHous Tumblr accounts celebrating the Lord ha ever-lasting beauTAY and aging process, of course. EveRIHone is inviTAYd!

  29. Yasssss I think she actually has a small shot. Selma is so old already and Glory won an Oscar last year. LMLYD, SYA and Earned It are all pop songs that will interfere with each other and lessen their chances of winning. TIHTY really stands out with its message and could be a dark horse for this award

  30. No. Taylor kinda flopped with "Mean", "The Tragedy of Us", "Piglets Fly", "Ours (But Not the Charts)" and "Safe & Not Found (Anywhere On the Charts)" which were all RIHleased consecutively and yet she still slayed with ha next era ("RED").

Move aside everyone and bow down to the voice of our generation she's flawless, her pitch, her control, belts, gosh, her voice is out of this world. She deserves so come back and take the spot from those untalented barbies that are smashing right now.
