  1. Great post and I agree. Yes, Cissy was so cool and great. It is interesting that the show apparently wasn't well received by the critics in the 90s. I don't know if it was a hit among general public. It has been rarely repeated on British television and probably the length of episodes was a big deal to some people. You will have so much fun with The Vicar of Dibley. Dawn French is fantastic. So many funny characters.

  2. Well, it will have to be settled here, right? I generally like the layout and the story behind Meldrum family. They got historical and settings points right and is actually beautifully shot. ALL ( and I do mean all ) characters are very well written. Everyone has got something you will definitely remember for: George's love for wealth and not so apparent selfishness; Teddy's obsession with servant girls ( hilarious how he has 5 children from 5 different maids scattered around; I would say pretty realistic for royalty ); Lady Lavender's eccentricity ( she is completely laid-back, doesn't

  3. My favorite character is Lady Lavander. Scenes where she throws plates of food at Ivy were funny. You have watched Allo Allo, right? What is next? The Vicar of Dibley? Absolutely Fabulous? Miranda?

  4. I finished it watching weeks ago ( I even re-watched most of the episodes, if not all ), but was lazy ( and busy ) to write all my sentiments about it. But, I do like it. I will get to it in that thread soon. Judging by what you are saying about Goldfrapp, I will definitely need to give it a listen. Also, I do enjoy the 80's, so Killers will have to be checked as well. I agree about reputation and even more with everything you said regarding Melodrama. I share opinion that it is better than Pure Heroine and that is weird mix between nostalgic and modern. It is definite

  5. Have you finished watching You Rang M'Lord? Did you like it? If you like synthpop/electropop, then Goldfrapp is something you shouldn't skip. Goldfrapp also made some different albums, which weren't my cup of tea, although I liked Tales of Us. If you like 80s music, you might enjoy The Killers. I am not a stan, but Wonderful Wonderful is their first album I truly liked. I didn't include Lana's album, which was good. I just did a top 5 and was too lazy to write anything. While 1989 was a classic pop album with 80s influence, Reputation was an album where Taylor wa

  6. Well, not that you just have good taste when it comes to ( British ) sitcoms and horror movies, but your music taste is standing on strong legs as well. This isn't news though, it is more of a confirmation. I always wanted to check Killers and Goldfrapp seems like something I would like to listen to. What are your overall sentiments of reputation and Melodrama? How do you see them in comparison to Taylor's and Lorde's previous work?
