  1. She changed the release date to let Adele have her moment. Feminist queen

  2. Here’s the thing though. Even if she didn’t MEAN to be shady, how it happened was extremely shady. Those faces she made, the tone she said what she DID say in? Really came off as cold and dismissive. And it doesn’t help her case that she’s not only been shady and catty toward Britney MANY times over the years, but she’s known in the industry for being a bit of a bitch anyway. Even if she didn’t mean for it to read like this, it does and I can see why Britney took it this way.

  3. I can't believe there's people in this thread calling her lost/unintelligent.... How fucking insensitive can you get. Try being under unfair media scrutiny for 20+ years where they treat you differently to everyone else with an abusive family that mentally abuses and controls your every move for over 13 years... Lets see how you cope... Yes Britney probably shouldn't have made that post, but she's still in trauma and likely will be for the rest of her life. Lets not act like Xtina is suddenly this saint because she's not, she only speaks nicely of Britney now because s

  6. so Christina was rude and bitchy but what Britney did as in basically sending her legion of unhinged stans to go after Christina is correct? this could have easily been addressed privately by Britney if she was so offended, to which Christina could have linked her to the heartfelt letter she penned to her back in June. i don't blame Christina nor her PR for not wanting the focus to shift on Britney on a huge night for Christina herself. whatever Christina would have answered to that question, either being "Britney is a cow!!!" or a 38 minutes long speech on how Britney Spears is th

  7. This is very weird.....Christina was one of the people who posted an actual heartfelt message regarding this. It must have hurt Britney to see her not speak about it in person? Idk And X is not obligated to speak about it at all...it was her night, promoting her music. Her team must not want a repeat of Liberation era where most of the questions were about Brit. And to think the rivalry between fandoms had calmed now....a mess.

  8. I'll probably get down voted for this by Britney's cult here but y'all need to chill. The world does not revolve around her, you and Britney should know that. Are we happy she got her freedom? YES. Are we supportive of her? ABSOLUTELY. Does the world need to know about her story? OF COURSE. Do we need to walk on egg shells around her and always make her feel like she's a princess? NO. Her life is a life full of trials and enslavement and she needed to get free. She already has that now but that does not change the fact that the chapter in her life (not Christina's) ha

  9. It's just sad she comes for xtina yet not her OWN BOYFRIEND for dodging the same question Also, not her being completely unaware that xtina has been supporting her for years and even wrote that letter, yet gaga stays completely silent and only brings her up on her movie tour

  10. Britney honestly has every right to feel the way she does. Xtina can "support" her on social media at the height of the #FreeBritney campaign, but not in public when she’s asked about it? It’s really disgusting to me how people now are calling Britney dumb and comparing her to Nicki Minaj, when all she’s doing is expressing how she feels after not being allowed to for so many years. She’s done taking anyone’s bullshit, and she should be. She should be able to call out her family and the people who did her wrong. She doesn’t think the world revolves around her, but when someone is directly bein

  11. What I don’t understand is that why was Xtina willing to make that twitter thread about Britney but not willing to say something in person? And then to say “I’m happy for her” in that bitchy, condescending tone? She made a face, got her publicists attention, and cut that shit off. Nah, she was shady as fuck. I can see why Britney’s pissed. She tweeted, but she can’t say even a small something in person after? It makes those tweets look opportunistic in hindsight.

  14. So I think she really wanted her peers to talk about it in person and show her support. It is very encouraging when people say they support you in front of so much press and she's dissapointed X did not do that.

  15. I also think she was overreacting but she also could not have seen those tweets Christina made about her. There's also a ton of stuff going on in the video that shows Christina not wanting to talk about it which is also strange. I get why Britney would see this and think "why avoid it though?"

  16. I love that britney is speaking out. I think Xtina was very rude though looking at the guy and not answering a simple question like that, idk why its so hard, they've known each other since they were kids.

  19. Two extremely overrated colonizers who cares One writes for the soccer moms and the other writes for all the Rebeccas who got dumped by Chad in Chemistry class. At least Adele could sing and that saves her, the other gets praised for writing metaphors like "I was ahead of the curve and then it suddenly became a sphere" or "maybe we got lost in translation cause im a crumbled piece of paper here" Yall buy into HYPE like deers in headlights

  20. Question: Why do you care so much? It’s a bit worrisome. Literally no one is pitting the legendary, talented and genuine Godele against SHitlor Swift but you. Taylor's horrible exploitation attempts have both had big first day streams and tanked in the long run. Adele has been a much stronger physical seller and has always had big sales. Longevity will decide it in the end.

  28. This is so dumb. Why should she attack her boyfriend for not speaking up when he's there everyday with her in private and supports her. She didn't have full control over social media back when Xtina made the twitter post. She probably doesn't know. She just wants some support from peers in the industry.

  29. Girl this is the first time she's had FULL control on what she posts on social media. Let her be messy for a bit. She ain't used to it.

  30. She literally didn’t do ANYTHING. Her publicist intervened right away and she STILL took the moment to say that she is happy for her. They even asked her questions that she possibly can’t even answer. And then…you have Gaga's answer in the following slide that, to me comes of as so fucking ingenuine and studied and Britney praises it.

  32. It's hard to completely side with either of them on this one. I think they're both at fault here. Britney's post comes across as misguided, because it'd be one thing if Christina had been completely silent on the topic -- but she hasn't. She wrote a whole essay in Britney defense. And I say "misguided" because from the way Britney is talking, I'm getting the impression that she's unaware of the essay. Britney likely saw the interview clip first, and it's not hard to see how she would be irked by Christina snubbing the question. Christina herself is coming across as pretty shady and

  33. I adore Britney but this was so uncool. Homegirl has had no chill recently and her being uninformed on this shows because Christina is not obligated to talk about her and has been extremely supportive in the past. Imagine if Brinni was promoting a new record and was being obsessively asked to comment on a female artist’s drama—the same artist who has constantly overshadowed her for a decade plus. That’s no shade to Britney or X it’s just what’s happened and while Christina has been shady before this wasn’t a case of that and she hasn’t been that way in ages.

  36. I mean this is messy. It's possible Britney's not aware of Christina's post in support of her as she was still under conservatorship at the time. But to be completely honest this feels uncalled for, even if I understand that after 13 years of abuse she's likely to make some hasty judgements. Sure, Christina didn't need to dodge the question, but at the same time a rushed red carpet interview is really not the place to discuss such serious topics, so I understand why she did.

  39. we'll give Britney the benefit of the doubt for the millionth time but Gaga will promote any cause that benefits her and she surely wasn't under the clock during that event unlike Christina who seemingly was dead last on that carpet and had to rush inside in time to perform.

  41. preach. in a way, i do feel for Britney because this is the first time she has access to her socials in so long but to go in like this on Christina was so unncessary. we're not in 2001 anymore. this IS the internet era and everything, including online bullying, which Britney sadly seemingly approves and is fine with, spreads faster than the light. i couldn't even believe i woke up to it this morning. ☠️ if this is the Britney we're about to see from now on, i... don't know. maybe she should redirect all this negative energy on dragging Justin fucking Timberlake rather than continuo

  42. Even if she was unstable, a conservatorship was not needed because it did more harm than good. What she needed then was a supportive system and some therapy. Not a family locking her up and taking all her rights as a human being. He doesn't have to talk about it because he is supportive in private and is not someone in the music industry. I need fighters to stop analyzing their whole relationship based on one interview when y'all don't know anything about it.

  43. If I were a public figure I would of course support Britney vocally but that’s not what the interviewer was asking. They were looking for dirt and it was a loaded question prying to see if Britney was doing ok and frankly her handler stepping in made it clear they were interpreting it as exactly that and they didn’t want to be seen as capitalizing on instead of supporting her and spreading love which is what Christina’s comment did.
