    I think Witness is too new to say too much about it, or to compare it to an album thats been out for years. But. I agree that 1989 is literally a pop staple at this point. So definitely it.

    Keep reaching If we look at long its been since her last release, it's around the same length as the other pop girls. Yet she has still managed to win awards, get critical acclaim, keep herself in the gp's eyes, and have amazing opportunities to work with high level talent. If that makes her basic, then good for her I suppose. Being crazy for crazys sake is pretty silly. There's art behind everything she does.

    Like working with an artist who inspired you in your youth and is an icon. Like working with an amazing songwriter and collaborating on a song for an amazing cause. Like having a foundation that does good for the community that her fans belong to. All while writing her next pop album. But yes, shes so basic.
