    a) Emphasizing the sheer shock of discussing Danknee in 2017

    b) Reminding us she's irrelevant as hell by calling her Kylie's sis rip2

The fact that Daily Star is actually a B-grade (if even possible) version of The Sun and Daily Mail rip2

  4. I feel personally responsible for destroying everybody's hair recommending a colour shampoo, because my mother caught wind of me dying my hair, and asked me for an advice on shampoos, so we went and bought something for her. She already has a recently dyed blond hair, and we bought a simillar shade shampoo to try out.

Flo, are you looking around for those already? jay1

This at least makes sense. The rest of these or simillar series have such fucked-up combos rip2

Yeah, those little pics on the side of bottles! moo1 I might swing by the hairdye section in the supermarket, just to scope things out, see the options and the different types, and then we'll see!

Well, I've been trying to Google stuff but there's very little info about natural blondes going brunette. dead2 Everyone and there mama wants to be blonde. Honestly, it's overrated. trash1

It's expensive as fuck tbh brit8

I went poor with buying all those bleachers, going for roots touch-ups, purple shampoos etc brit8 Hair still looked yellow! I think they have some special expensive treatment to make it WHITE.

Then there is Xtina's flawless white hair, that's actually lifeless as hell because that white procedure literally kills your hair by discolouring it!

I'll try to talk to her about it, but honestly I haven't even mentioned it to her yet, cuz I don't want her to go on a tirade about how I ~~~shouldn't dye my hair since it's so beautiful and it's rare for adults to have natural blonde hair, it would be a waste of money~~~ etc. jj3

Oh well, it's worth a try. moo1 She's been dyeing her hair for as long as I can remember, cuz she started going grey pretty young. Otherwise she has regular brown hair naturally.

I forgot your mum was an apocalyptic type that made something like buying a potato into a historical and negative event jj4

I think you can actually google all those types of questions. Oooh, and a nice thing is that pic on the side of a hairdye box that shows the results. For instance it shows a lighter hair with a result of that particular dye, then a darker, then a very dark (almost no result). So that's helpful enough!

I don't want reddish brown tho. I have cool undertones so it would make me look washed out. My aim-colour is something like this:

    a70a80eabd89cbc9569c3dee36b56a80.jpg

(Now, comparing this to my picture, they almost look the same. fall1 But I'm definitely blonder than this, I hate how so much depends on lighting in pictures. dead2)

Wouldn't purple shampoo make the blonde more vibrant and not so turd-shade?  Now that I think about it, I might try that and see how I like my enhanced natural shade. jj3 And if I don't like it, I can still go darker.

Edit: Actually, reading up on it now, it's mostly meant for dyed blondes. jj4 Idk anything anymore.

I know right jj4 When I read reviews, some people use those on natural hair and some on dyed, and also apparently some blondes have no red pigment at all, although they look the same as blondes with red pigment brit8

I think it's just a matter of experiment, plus knowing which colour you want, and achieving it. Does your mum know much about that all? Maybe she can help you out since she knows your hair up close!

    As in colour?

My hair is already a pretty freaking dark blonde (you have me on FB you can check my profile pic) so anything darker would be light brown at this point.

You think this would be unrealistic?

Actually, you could try a purple shampoo/conditioner right away and see. The results are usually visible on the first or second wash, so maybe you'll end up with a shiny natural colour right away!

Omg, the accuracy. ny2 Like if the sun shines on it, it can look goldish and pretty, but usually it's just... carla1

Ooh, thanks for the advice! cry1 Yeah, I was also thinking on doing something non-permanent first, to try the colour out.

So, these are like coloured shampoos or what? How do those work?

I think hairdye shampoos are so basic, each country has their own. I never even saw some worldwide brands that are sold everywhere. Go to a local cosmetics store, and they will sure have a shampoo, but if your hair is more brown than blond, they may not work. But some permanent dye isn't actually permanent, it should say so on the package, like "semi-permanent" so your aunt will dye your hair, and you'll see how it works. If you like it, you can buy a permanent version and repeat it.

And shampoo is just leaving it on your head for 20 minutes, then washing it off. I think to not be devastated by the lack of any effect, you should try a bit of dark blonde (like maybe a bit lighter than that Elle Xtina photoshoot, 2004), because light shampoos are for already bleached hair, I think. A very blond shampoo won't work on the natural dark blond hair, because it doesn't go inside like a perma-dye, it just paints your hair, you know? I suggest buying something like honey/milk and coffee/biege!

  12. Oh, and for post-dye care and anti-bald roots, you can buy any shampoo or conditioner of purple/violet/blue colour. Just ask people in stores for those, tell them it's for dyed blonde. They will save your life! They wash out the ginger pigment in blond hair and the dye will look more natural too. They just work as a natural anti-ginger pigment component. L'Oreal Elseve has those, and they're sold in stores now, not only salons like before. They say on the package: blond, black, red hair. Blond ones are bleaching, black ones are probably making hair not lose shiny black colour, I guess? This is a shampoo, but they all mostly look like this

    @Vertigo-go I need glam advice. jay1

I've never dyed my hair before, but in recent months I started to hate my natural dirty-blonde colour. It's boring, looks like nothing and I've had it all my life so I'm sick of it. If it was a bit blonder I'd maybe be fine with it, but it isn't and I don't spend enough time outside in the summer for it to lighten up.

So I'm thinking of maybe dyeing it, but I don't want to go blonder, I want to do maybe a medium brown colour. My issue tho is that it's a big commitment both budget and effort-wise. I feel like I'd be the type of person who wouldn't rush to get my roots touched up immediately, but light roots with dark hair would probably look like absolute shit. carla1 I'd probably look like I'm going grey. fall7 + I don't want to go to the hairdresser's (I don't even have one, my mum cuts my hair usually) to re-dye it every few weeks, cuz that would be expensive af. But my aunt dyes my mum's hair at home, for this very reason so I think that could be arranged. But regardless of touch-ups you still have to maintain the colour. And I absolutely need to wash my hair every 2-3 days, cuz it gets disgustingly greasy otherwise. I feel like that would make the dye fade super quick. So yet another hassle. dead2 Maybe dry shampoo could work, but I've never used any, so I don't know how that works.

I don't know what to do. giveup1Is the effort worth it? Help me. fall7

I'm asking you cuz I know you have plenty of experience with dyeing hair.

My hair colour is also shit wendy4

Like, you know how it always depends on the weather and your shampoo and other things? Sometimes you look like you have a shiny blondish hair, and next day it looks like some dirty asphalt road jj4

I'd recommend buying a shampoo first, so if the colour doesn't suit you, it will be gone soon! I know there are cheap shampoos around that don't cost much. For a bit more expensive price you can get Schwarzkopf semi-permanent hair dye. I'm looking into it myself.

But honestly, there is some pretty cheap stuff like Wella around, you can go choose a colour and ask your aunt to help you out, and as long as it's not THAT different from your natural hair colour, the roots won't be a problem. The roots are a problem for ME because I dye black now, and look like I'm balding if I let it go for a bit rip2

That very basic supermarket Wella dye, which is maybe 2 euros, is actually very good. Also Garnier is cheap but of good quality and comes in various colours.
