They revealed that it's set in New Orleans, which I guess gets rid of all the witch trial theories (which is sad because I kinda wanted that to happen). It's rumored that Kathy Bates will be Marie Delphine LaLaurie, who was a socialite in New Orleans who was found to have tortured and killed dozens of black slaves.
