The thing about Beyoncé is that she's overrated and most of it is due to her fans and her marketing team. She is a great singer and performer, but her lack of re-invention and the mud that comes with the "behind the scenes" of her career is such a mess, like the songs she's credited as a writer when we know she didn't. The tons of legal actions she has on her back due to stealling other artists and calling it "sample" without their permission is just one of the things that I can't go with it.

And I'm sure she didn't repeat any homophobics words or acts. Like I said, people change and no one was born open minded, actually the society teaches us to be very ignorant towards gays, I'm glad that's changing though.

I don't even know this girl but I believe people can change their minds or else the world would be even worse than it is. Pulling a 6 yo tweet is just not right. I do agree with you that a simply "sorry" won't change the fact of what she has said in the past, but maybe she has shown some attitudes throughout the time that may prove she regrets it. Again, I don't know her and I don't know if she had apologized about this, but anyways.

I agree with you that critics is not always right or decent because, as you said, taste is subjective. As for Teenage Dream, I've never listened to the whole album, only the singles and I like most of them.
