So if Mariah is a better singer than Xtina
BritneyForever replied to BritneyForever's topic in Battlegrounds
always with the age excuse. If you looked, both her and X are the same age in the videos I chose, respectively. 27-26 and 33-33. Mariah's voice was largely toast and lip sync at 33 #sry. -

@ do note that questioning, ambiguous question mark at the end, sis. Also, rogue is not the only one we're talking about. It occurs with virtually every female in the series on film. Do they not lash out as angry teenagers ever? Why are they so homogeneous? There are ways to convey all of that without having a one-dimensional character. I know lots of shy people that have moments of rage or something observable other than a slight scowl. -

I thought I said I watched the animations? I even said comics/animations. They were largely an adaptation of the comics. You took my criticism and went completely extreme. No one said that rogue having a strong personality and being audible when she speaks as opposed to a waif would require an Avenger's type budget. Having Storm actually engage in combat as opposed throw lightning bolts would probably save some money as well. There's nothing remarkable about the Marvel women in this adaptation, even though they employ remarkable actresses (JLaw/Halle). -
leave gaga's poor wig alone; if it's snatched anymore, we're gonna get a 2007ney type of event.

then that's great for script integrity but unfortunately makes the characters banal to most even casual fans like myself and of course those that don't know much of the comics. I'm also pretty sure that by the time Jean was possessed by the Phoenix, Rogue and Storm were no longer as fearful. Either way, they're  -

I didn't know she absorbed her personality? Also, most are not familiar with that rogue, and I am not sure if that rogue ever saw much time outside of perhaps a short string of comic editions. And super-strength is not really that hard to portray in movies is it? Jean was endowed with a lot of special effects with phoenix. Anti-feminist insofar as they hugged every 'frail woman who needs help' stereotype pretty securely. -
Will xtina ever have a toxic/gimme more though?

You write like such an intelligent person; does it bother you that your fave would probably need assistance in trying to keep up with you in casual conversation? -
Wait this is 2013 right? Can we archive this thread back to in its rightful decade?

Beyonce's singles aren't doing too well on Itunes tho
BritneyForever replied to Agugaga's topic in Battlegrounds
Hmm, she's busy selling that thing that has all her singles on it. You know, an album. Rare to push them these days, I know--but she's doing it. -

They were all some anti-feminist, scared lil bitches in the movies. That's not how they are in any of the comics? -

Why was Mariah's voice cooked at 27 when X was sounding like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OidNhEHk1LQ Also, why is X sounding like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yRd8D1ll7_U at 33 when Mariah was: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IMNOCdKVdlA not without a lipped performance to be found Just curious, lambs?
