Honestly I don’t even hate the BIM / Celebration ending as a FINALE encore, but it just felt like there was a weird chunk missing or something, like going from Rain > LAV/ Billie Jean > THAT was just such insane whiplash lol

She was fantastic Some minor technical difficulties with the audio syncing at the very beginning but it was quickly resolved and the rest of the show went off without an issue. We got the ideal set list of Express Yourself + Rain (thank god). The energy of the crowd was insane. She looked and sounded fantastic the whole night. I *cannot* wait to watch a professional recording of this. Tonight’s finally the night!

She’s finally coming to Chicago next week. It’ll be my second time (after Madame X), and the first time for my bestie I’m going with. I don’t get why she gets held to such an impossibly high standard even by her fans. I saw Elton John’s farewell tour in 2022 and it was one of the most fun times I’ve had at a show, despite the fact that he’s *obviously* past his prime. I’m hoping this isn’t the last chance I have to see her in a context like this, but even if it is, I’m excited to be able to celebrate such an iconic legacy

It definitely was just Infinite Disco 2.0, but I wasn’t mad about it! Although it was my first time seeing her so I would have been happy with anything lol. On opening night at least she was singing her ass off, not sure if that stays true every night though

X girlies rise up I’m sure I had heard some of her stuff before, but considering that her biggest US hit (CGYOOMH) dropped when I was 8, my exposure was limited lol I picked up a copy of X in Europe on vacation the summer of 2008 and fell in love, Aphrodite was even better (Confessions on a Dancefloor was the best album I had ever heard up to that point, so it makes sense), and KMO had its moments but was kinda disappointing on the whole. This was my exact thought too, especially Hold On To Now, Things We Do For Love, and Story. They're definitely the most 80s synth-pop of the bunch too. The X comparison is fitting because it definitely jumps around with different styles and influences while still feeling cohesive as an album, which is something she hasn't really nailed since imo. Aphrodite and Disco both had the vibe completely locked down (not a bad thing per se), and KMO and Golden kinda felt all over the place despite having a lot of strong songs on each.

Kylie "No Skips" Minogue strikes again. Excited to hear the bonus tracks in full and HQ before making any final rankings, but after a few listens, the early standouts for me are: Honestly, the whole album flows very well and HOT TAKE, but I'm glad they included 10 Out Of 10 too. It's a cute song and fares MUCH better in the context of an album than just a standalone single. Not sure if it'll end up ranking as high as DISCO or Aphrodite for me, but I definitely prefer it over Kiss Me Once and Golden already. Perched for the official drop next week!
