  1. I like me some No Doubt era Gwen and her first solo record but there's no contest. Just about everything of Kylie's post-Impossible Princess is awesome.

Whereas Kylie's first couple albums are garbage, she really developed as a performer later in her career and has released some truly awesome albums, aging like wine, becoming a better singer, and looking flawless and cheerful to boot. She's unrivaled for bringing optimism and joy to pop music, can collaborate with just about anyone in the studio and produce the goods, and remains an icon despite the US's poor taste.

I don't feel like Gwen ever developed vocally past what she's always done and as fun as LAMB was she's never come even remotely close to presenting a decent follow-up. She was at her best and most consistent in a band, not as a solo performer.

  2. No I'm a Sinner. wat3

This is the one song in my top 5 that didn't make it.

Not surprised Girl Gone Mild took its spot. I mean, the song is a cute bop but it's decidedly derivative and her vocals are godawful. It's only real redemption is that unbelievable mv. That's the only reason I grew to like the song.

  3. Top 4 as of right now, in no order: Cherry, Get Free, Summer Bummer / Groupie Love (can't pick) and Change (wtf with the hate for this subtle masterpiece?)

Bottom 4 (can't decide on order tho!): White Mustang (Album Version), White Mustang (Radio Edit), White Mustang (Dated Remix), and White Mustang (Reprise). It's the only bad song.

Don't understand the hate for Heroin...

And even though In My Feelings is a timebomb for a lawsuit (despite being better than Desperado[emoji767].mp3) and the title phrase is icky I love it anyway.

  4. Normally I agree, and I was really expecting to find a bit of filler because of how long it is, but I've been listening to it almost nonstop and the only song I would readily kiss goodbye is White Mustang. All the others I'd have a hard time with not being on the album.

I love how the album is sequenced though; it has a beautiful arc of about three sections that I think really makes it a journey, which is the way albums, especially long ones, should be.

  5. Yeah, Cherry ftw. It's sex on a record. Everything about it is better--I really feel like the hip-hop leaning tracks on LFL are the culmination of what she dabbled with on HM tracks like Art Deco, Freak, HBTB etc. But the ones on LFL, especially Cherry, take it to another level. They're impeccably polished. And I say that as someone who loves Freak and Honeymoon.

  6. I really like the song. But I think it's telling that Taylor has clarified repeatedly that's it's not about her experience. Something she said in one of the interviews about it being about a couple who was best friends and how that must be good but also not good made me lowkey sad because maybe she doesn't look for a solid component like that in her partners.

    Regardless, it's a wonderful song.

  7. I could care less whether it's successful. Pop girls are basically being crucified now across the board if they aren't Bey or Adele or Taylor so it is what it is. What I want is a good album from her. Bionic has its moments but she's so much better than that album and Lotus. She needs to pull a Lady Gaga and focus on critical acclaim re good performances and revamped persona for a while. Interest in the music from the gp will only come after they reconnect with her as a figure, IMO.

  8. I always found it strange that my Showgirl dvds had a huge ass booklet but everything released after it comes without anything wat3
Les Faglies has an awful packaging:

couldnt find a better pic but it's basically a black plastic thingy connected to two jewel cases backs and has place for four discs but only has 3 jay1

Where's that one from? Mine has color slipcases for every disc inside a box and then a separate booklet of artwork. Guess I got lucky.

Not as insane as you thinking i was being serious( and it wasn't even me who brought madonna into the WW comment), or thinking that i am trying to drag Madonna.

Madonna stans are presses indeed. They can't even take a joke now.

Yeah, I can take a joke which is why I haven't reported you referring to me as insane twice because I know your posts and WW gifs are INANEmad3

Also, you dragged Madonna stans with a WW gif so don't pretend you weren't trying to drag Madonna too. lj1 If I was pressed I'd take your bait and pretend comparing WW and M is anything but fatuous, but since I'm not I'll just make sure your posts are on ignore going forward. K bye. wendy4
