I'm shook to discover I like, not only a country artist but a traditional country artist. Hardwood Floor has to be my favourite song from the album, folkea, joyful and sweet all wrapped together with his talented vocals. His albumhighkey reminds me of the soundtrack game from Far Cry 5 which I was surprised to like also.

    About Basim
Basim is a Danish teen pop singer with a contemporary R&B style who rose to fame on the television show X Factor in 2008. Born Basim Moujahid of Moroccan heritage, he grew up in Høje-Gladsaxe, a large housing project on the outskirts of Copenhagen. Inspired by British contemporary R&B star Craig David, Basim initially rose to fame as a contestant on season one of the Pop Idol-style Danish reality show X Factor. While he fell short of winning the show, he finished in fourth place and exhibited enough potential to earn a major-label recording contract with Universal Music. Later in 2008 he made his full-length album debut with Alt Det Jeg Ville Have Sagt, which reached the Top Ten of the Danish albums chart and spawned the hit singles "Alt Det Jeg Ville Have Sagt," "Jeg Vil," and "Lad Ikke Solen Gå Ned," the latter featuring Lis Sørensen.

Jon Bellion's most popular song All Time Low finally makes it to #1 after 38 weeks in the chart. I was surprised to find out the song hasn't been #1 before since this is my most played Jon Bellion song with 310 plays. Despite overplaying his discography for a 3rd week in a row, other songs by him climb a couple of places with new peaks and even 80's Films enters for the first time. Canadian underrated artist Scott Helman misses out from the #1 spot with Sweet Tooth debuting at #2. Finally, after Unforgettable by Thomas Rhett reached #1 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart last week, the song and also Craving You re-enter.

Plested beats Sam Hunt's dominance with his newest single Backup Plan coming in at #1 with 116 plays. Rediscovering Sam Hunt helps 17 songs by him enter the chart which is due to listening to his latest single Downtown's Dead last week, which makes a new peak of #10. The country dominance doesn't stop with Sam Hunt as Thomas Rhett's discography gets a boost and helps his single Craving You jump 34 places to #14.

Another number 1 for Jon Bellion with 80's Films making this his 5th number one altogether but falling elsewhere on the chart. New artist on the chart scene Shawn Hook is catching up to Jon for domination, debuting at #2 on the Artist Chart with 4 new songs. One of those songs, Never Let Me Let You Go comes in at #2 with 37 plays. Another discovery is Todrick Hallwith with the very catchy song Low with RuPaul.

Jon Bellion is still going strong with 24 appearances in this weeks chart, although Broken Back's newest single Wait climbs to the top making this his first #1. One More Time by Jon Bellion is the highest debut at #2 as last week there were so many Jon Bellion songs that I listened to, this song got snubbed but not this week. Fell in love with Kendji Girac's song Jamais à genoux all over again which is why it's the highest climber, climbing 41 places. Only its third week on the chart, I Was Never Yours by Martin Brothers drops 44 places to #48, making it the highest faller. The longest runner goes to Kendji Girac with his song Andalouse after re-entering the chart and racking up its 112th week since the chart started. Finally, a quick shameless promo shoutout that Jon is up for Best Push at this year's MTV EMAs and you can vote for him here.

More charts this week: Artist | Album
I'll try to keep up with these charts from now on. So I've finally had time this week to listen to a past Jon Bellion mixtape thanks to him releasing them all on streaming services, went for The Separation and wasn't disappointed. This guy is so talented, he can: rap, sing, write but most importantly he can produce very creative and well-polished songs, which is what I fell in love with his music in the first place from listening to The Human Condition and The Definition already. 2 Rocking Chairs is the sweetest song I have listened to in a long time and it was love at first listen which frankly goes to all the songs on the mixtape. It's natural that I listened to his recent songs again which is why some songs on THC and TD charted this week, I am not complaining lol. I highly suggest you check this guy out, you won't find 2 songs that are the same. When I first heard Mi Mala by Mau y Ricky, I was shocked to find reggaeton beats in there since they're a mostly Latin indie/pop duo but it's a bop and a half. And finally, Broken Back enters back on the chart with some songs from his newest debut album. What an unusual voice that works with the deep/tropical house sounds. I didn't get the chance to listen and spam the album fully this week so it could be Broken Back's chart next week.

Been a stan of Cali & El Dandee for quite awhile and when they released this bop I couldn't stop listening to it, loving the dembow beat that is Juan Magan's doing I think since he's a DJ. Just makes me shake my booty and the best part is El Dandee's part (rap) he's so sessai, wish he had a longer part in the song tbh . It's a very popular track amost the lattino community and is heading for the 100M views mark.

    About Roy Woods
Denzel Spencer (born April 18, 1996), better known by his stage name Roy Woods (stylized as Roy Wood$), is a Canadian rapper and R&B musician from Brampton, Ontario. He attended Turner Fenton Secondary School for three years before switching to St. Augustine for his final year of high school. Before his music career took off, he was often recognized for his commitment and talent in Football. The origin of his name comes from a youth that lived in the same building as him from Brampton giving "Roy" his name after his previous one, Wood$ took a survey throughout his high school and Roy Wood$ seemed to be the winning ticket when he asked his peers. In an October 2014 interview with HotNewHipHop, he said some of his biggest influences are Michael Jackson, Drake, Nelly,The Weeknd and PartyNextDoor. He is signed to OVO Sound, the record label co-founded by rapper Drake, producer Noah "40" Shebib and Oliver El-Khatib. He doesn't know it yet, but he will be working with Sincerely, ADHD (@sincerelyADHD) in 2016.

    About Lea Rue
Belgian singer-songwriter LEA RUE’s professional debut is simply astonishing. Signed by Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike themselves to their Smash The House label, her first single "I Can't Say No!" took off with amazing results in her home country Belgium. Together with her countrymen Lost Frequencies Lea Rue is that exciting new sound that current dance music was craving for. Norwegian DJ duo Broiler picked up on this and delivered an even more successful remix of the original. LEA RUE’s music can be defined as an organic mix of several dance subgenres such as electronica, dream pop, downtempo trip hop and indie-electro. She has also started to work on a full album due 2016.

    About Louis Vivet
Nicolas II and Aria S, aka Louis Vivet, have effectively risen the ranks of Los Angeles’ burgeoning dance collective after a seminal breakthrough year. The duo boast a sound that’s founded on house music, one that also possesses clear influences from deep/UK styles, progressive house, and pop. LV's live performances have resonated with audiences, highlighted by a diverse track selection that reflects their artistic diversity. When they aren't producing or performing, you'll find LV working on new graphics or visuals to enhance their live shows. In the vein of Feed Me, Nicolas II oversees the art direction and overall brand, having studied design at USC's Roski School of Fine Arts. LV brings listeners into their own carefully constructed universe with their heavy emphasis on narrative storytelling, one that they communicate clearly through their art and music.

Last Fall Louis Vivet debuted their smash hit during a Discovery Project performance at Escape All Hallow’s Eve. Playing on the 90’s classic ‘Save Tonight’, LV successfully bridged the multi-generational gap for a radio friendly single that can still be heard to this day. With over 750,000 plays on SoundCloud and an equally popular remix by Nigel Good, Louis Vivet successfully turned the folk anthem into a mellow masterpiece. This caught the attention of international DJ / producer Gareth Emery, who has regularly featured their tracks on his Electric For Life podcast. It wasn’t until after the massive success of ‘Save Tonight’, that Louis Vivet debuted their first original track ‘Downbeat’ in March 2015 on Dancing Astronaut. This exceptional track is comprised of trip step pops, melodic lifts, and pounding bursts of energy. Possessing a clear talent for utilizing vocal samples, ‘Downbeat’ showcased their ability as both remixers and producers. Throughout a spectrum of different influences, Louis Vivet have continued to stay true to branding themselves outside of all preconceived genre limitations.

They impressed crossover audiences once again by taking a minimal approach to the brilliantly reworked ‘Dead’ by Phoebe Ryan’s. It was transformed into a dance-centric rendition that maintained the original’s allure. The singer songstress was a supporter of the remix as well. After crafting their efforts around an indie-dance route, Louis Vivet provided a glimpse into their stylistic diversity by venturing into a deeper house sound. ‘Nightfall,’ in which Magnetic Mag describes as “a bold vocal anthem that takes control of your entire senses with dark vocals and hypnotizing instrumentations”, continued LV’s ascension within the dance blogosphere.

Once again Nicolas II and Aria S flipped the script, remaking ‘Silvia’ by Miike Snow. Infused with deep layers of passion and emotion, Louis Vivet proved their ability to make an inspired cover into a full-fledged project. The rework was accompanied by an original graphic novel, illustrating the story behind ‘Silvia’, a piece of art that has since been picked up by USC. With support from some of the largest names in dance music, Louis Vivet opened for multi-platinum selling artist Felix Jaehn, further developing their stardom and limitless potential for the future.

Since I'm new what a better way to start of this blog by posting my EOY of 2015, this way you can get a sense of who I stan for. Call me lazy but I will be copying and pasting from my last.fm profile and not in the form of a detailed countdown. The reason for this is that most of you will probably think 99% of my chart entries are irrelevant and also I'll just over think the layout and spend ages actually making it.

I have tried to make my last.fm data as acuate as possible, even went to the extreme of manually adding songs that I've missed. Having said this I don't know the cut off point is on last.fm so this can be hours out of date. I will be posting my top 40 artists, albums and songs so hopefully by posting this some people will find new music that they'll like.

    About Jupiter Project
Things have been steadily shining bright for rising indie R&B duo, Jupiter Project. The boys from down-under have recently hit charting success with their latest single 'With You' and are ready to make an international statement with the release of their eagerly anticipated album.
Gavin Correia and Marty Rich; otherwise known as Jupiter Project, aren’t new to the scene in their native New Zealand, where they have played major international festivals such as Rhythm and Vines and also shared stages with the likes of Flume and Will.I.Am. The duo are also known as one of New Zealand’s most prolific song-writers and have recently penned a number of top 10 hits back home.
Their unique blend of lo-fi R&B vocals and diverse instrumentation has drawn comparison to a range of international artists, from Phoenix to Drake. After listening to their new records, it becomes clear why culture icons like Adidas, Hypebeast and Grammy.com have come on board to support the boys.

    About Sweet Disguise
Their brand new single is called “Sweet Disguise” and it’s a great electronic piece and with a sick beat making it a real radio-ready anthem. It arrives after the success achieved with their latest shot “With You“. The official music video directed by Eddy Fifield was premiered exclusively on Idolator on November 16th. It includes the guest appearance of Australian actress Christina Macpherson.
Both tracks are expected to be included on their anticipated debut studio album, which will be released in the first quarter of 2016 via LTPS and Warner Music. “Sweet Disguise” was released on digital retailers on September 28th.
