I made a fake text conversation between the killers in Scream (2022) throughout the events of the movie for fun and posted in on the Scream subreddit where it’s been surprisingly well received bebe1 I was gonna do Scream 4 and VI as well if people liked this one which they seem to.

  2. It’s hard to wrap my head around.

He gave so much to the world via Friends. An integral part of not just growing up for many but a lifelong companion. The amount of friends and family I have that watched it when it was on and then just kept watching as the years went on on TV or streaming is insane. It touched so many lives and he was such a huge part of it.

But he also gave so much to the world via his transparency and honesty about his demons. He worked hard to normalize the discussion of addiction and the complexities of recovery and the difficult to untangle web of depression. In his candidness and his openness to discussing asking for help, I know he inspired others to speak up and ask for help as well.

I hope his soul finds peace.

  3. She's been an avid supporter of peace for both sides for many, many years now. From demanding Palestine be put back on Google Maps so as to not erase their identity because of their occupation, to her calls for peace both in her own tours and at Eurovision, she's been having this conversation for years.

She's very correct in acknowledging Hamas is a terrorist group, but she also took great pains in her initial statement to remind everyone that Palestinians are not Hamas and that they deserve peace.

This statement at her show to me is not rallying behind Israel alone, but instead calling for peace for all no matter which side of the line they fall on.

Madonna’s name is mentioned a whopping 17 times throughout The Woman in Me. As a young girl, Spears idolized the star—and wanted to be like her. Once Spears was on the awards show circuit, she started running into Madonna “all over the world.”

Later, when Spears decamped in Cher’s old NoHo apartment, Madonna droppedby for a visit. “She walked into the place and immediately, of course, she owned the room. I remember thinking, it’s Madonna’s room now,” Spears writes.

In Madonna, Spears found a mentor. “Madonna’s supreme confidence helped me see a lot about my situation with fresh eyes. I think she probably had some intuitive sense of what I was going through. I needed a little guidance at that time,” she writes. Madonna performed a red-string ceremony with Spears to initiate her into Kabbalah; she also gifted Spears a “trunk full” of Zohar books.

It was while rehearsing for the VMAs that Spears had the idea to feature Madonna on Me Against the Music, her latest single at the time. She approached Madonna directly with the request, and the rest was history.

Spears’ admiration for Madonna, and her “supreme confidence,” is made clear. “If I could go back now, I would try to become my own parent, my own partner, my own advocate—the way I knew Madonna did,” she reflects. During their Me Against the Music shoot, Spears was in awe of how Madonna refused to compromise her artistic vision and integrity. “It was an important lesson for me,” Spears writes. “One that would take me a long time to absorb: she demanded power, and so she got power.”

I'd say about a third of the crowd actually regularly did this, and even more at the last song which is more than I had anticipated. There was also a guy at the beginning outlining what to and not to do, and he mentioned that dancing was OK so I'm sure that encouraged more people to do it. I actually overheard a couple of girls in the row behind me telling the people nearest to them that they had bought a couple of extra seats between them to make it easier to dance bebe1

Did you see the previews tailored to the audience? There was one for Mean Girls: The Musical that said "You're here for the musical event of the year...." and another for Trolls Band Together that started with "Hey Swifties..." which I thought was interesting, I don't remember ever seeing ones like that before.

Omg yes the trailers were cool in their customization. Her power truly

    I adored it tbh.

The cinematography is stunning. Up there with Stop Making Sense for me in terms of it's visual presentation.

And yes the energy is amazing. I didn't have people up and dancing but we all sang, did the chants, cheered, and applauded. It was an amazing experience.

    A bit disappointing aura1

I know you all are not coming for one of the most successful and talented artists of the 2000s. His hits speak for themselves (more hits than some of the faves can dream of to be perfectly honest), but his stage presence absolutely stomps on the vast majority of other choices they could've made. The setlist is going to be incredible (I mean how it can not be with 9 #1 hits to choose from) and the performance will be as well.

This is long, long overdue. He should've had it way before now, but with Confessions--one of the most successful albums of all time mind you--turning 20 next year, it's a great way to celebrate.

This is going to be the best halftime show we've had since Shakira/JLo, perhaps one of the best we've ever had full stop. Only befitting of one of the 2000s few deserving legends.
