  11. Her first broadcast was over radio in 1940 when she was 14 it was meant to be a morale boost during WW2. There was also this speech 75 years ago in 1947. Of course in the years prior and after becoming Queen in 1952 her public engagements became more frequent.

  18. I agree, spending a long time at #1 now isn't really as special as it was (pardon the pun) pre-streaming, at least back then for a song to spend a long time at #1 it meant people were going out and physically buying the single, whereas now with playlisting etc it's very easy for an act to stay at the top of the charts for a long time, of course you also have stans manipulating the charts by leaving songs playing overnight etc so that the streams add up.
  19. Most people don't hate Meghan, it's just because the UK press try to push that narrative, they did the same to Camila and before that Diana. There's basically always someone in the family who the media go after and treat as being the villain. They don't like Charles much either as he has in the past often controversially talked about political issues related to climate change and science and his view points tend to be what most would consider "liberal", in contrast most of the UK press has a bias to the right.
  20. Having a long distance relationship sucks sometimes. cry9
