No, no, you girls don't understand. I AM OBSESSED. Why did we get that ugly mint green tinted cover when we could've had this VOGUE-worthy cover instead?! Credits to whoever made this, I thank God for yew!!!!!

the artwork wasnt what was wrong with the album. it was the audio attached to it.

save for literally 3 songs, the singles

I'd say the artwork was wrong. The mint green filter has always been ugly and unpleasant to the eyes. Also, she looked like Daisy Duck in it, but at least this version makes her look a bit more human.

  3. Babe, when have I ever been that clown's bff? I literally put them on ignore and always opposed them.
  4. Does anyone hear the similarities between The Cardigans' Lovefool and Lady Gaga's Summerboy? I just noticed.

  5. The accidental (or deliberate? could be!) genius of Madonna can really be heard, felt, and seen just by the presence of American Life alone in her discography. That album IS NOT GOOD, sonically unpleasant to listen to (at least for me) and just jumbled mumbo jumbo. However, it totally functioned as a deconstruction of Madonna the artist, the icon, and, perhaps, the person as well. Without it, Hung Up and, by extension, Confessions on a Dance Floor wouldn't have been as impactful and influential as an era. THAT was the reconstruction of Madonna from ground up, side to side, diagonally, etc.

  6. It's 12:10 AM where I'm at. Therefore, Happy New Year everyone! 🎊 🎉

  7. Reading reviews of Mariah's albums from the '90s is so funny. Most of them are basically just "hey, she sings so well it can't be real, therefore she must be a terrible singer actually." Like, what kind of professional criticism is that?

  8. Atrl is still hell on Earth.

Yes but it's often hilarious to read the stupidity there lol

  9. Thriller is a really well made album. Even the dumb song with Paul McCartney sounds well placed within it.

  10. I don't know why I find myself listening to Artpop right now, but I am. The second half is where it gets truly helpless. As the composition is mostly fine if not a little too top 40 of 2013-sounding (although I'm not sure if top 40 songs back in 2013 actually sound like that) while the production just feels like copy paste of each other. It's so different to the bulk of production of the first half which was quite pristine. I mean, her 'artpop' did mean anything. Just a shame that it includes redundancy.

im still upset Interscope didnt go with the double album idea she had for itohl dsiBkug

  11. In 2020, I had created a thread meant to rank Katy's discography prior to Smile's arrival. However, since Smile is officially here, I'm going to make a rank listing all of her albums so far. I'll also add her Katy Hudson album at the end for a simple kii. Enjoy! *Note: I keep editing this entry, dear God please make it stop. *Another note: Fuck. It never stopped. 1. Welcome to her best album! Prism is, finally, Katy's undoubtedly best album to date. Sure, it has "Roar" (which is a #1 hit song btw) and it kinda sucks. I mean, take a look at the opening li
  12. It's 2023 and Adorn by Miguel is still one of the greatest songs I've ever heard.

  13. Elon Musk is a prick.

  14. Editing a blog entry that no one even reads. What a way to live my life.

Thats me and my CD collection lmao

  15. Kylie's Tension sounds like a club remix of a different sounding original song. It's good, but again sounds like a remix.

  16. Apparently, Glitter had a "for promo only" version which has a very different tracklist. It can be found here: https://www.discogs.com/release/1676479-Mariah-Carey-Glitter Look at the tracklist. What do you think of it? Personally, I find it rather odd because it's as if all of the ballads were grouped in the last leg of the album. I think it's for the clubs and that's why the uptempos were the main focus? Idk for sure. It also seems that this tracklist follows the plot of the movie compared to the official one. It's fascinating though, given the tracklist that we're used to connects
  17. This is not a bop. Barely a song. What the fuck is this? I should probably blame her for allowing this shit to be made, but given that william is the devil I'll put the full blame on him instead. Again, what the fuck is this!
  18. Awful mess. He should be the one in a conservatorship.
  19. Listening to music feels not so fun now. Maybe it'll pass, but I don't like this feeling.

It's because of lack of new songs. Try explore new genres and it'll be so much better

  20. My brother is studying in different province. The same province I had studied in years ago. I hope he'll have better future than me.

  21. You know what? I'm being too bitter. If Padam Padam works for any of you, good. It just won't ever work with me, and I think that's ok. jj1

  22. The song is short, but it feels even shorter. For crying out loud extend your songs, Madison! They're good!
  23. What I really don't like about Padam Padam is the fact that it sounds like a very reductive spin on Can't Get You Out of My Head. Which is ridiculous because the latter is the far simpler song!

  24. It's the mastering/mixing. I mean, all of Golden sounds like it's made in a cheap metal tube under a bridge with a busy traffic.
