  1. There's a possibility that either of these are Kylie's new single.

    YES. Simply, YES! giveup3

  4. Even though I dislike Music Box, I can't deny its importance in MC's discography. I actually think that it's one of Mariah's four essential albums, with the other three being Merry Christmas, Daydream, and Butterfly. These albums showcased THE Mariah sound, which is multi-colors, but still unified and distinct.

  5. The (bonus) second disc of Kylie's 1994 eponymous album is another kind of serve. Wow.

  6. Smile (song) is a bit underwhelming. Love the lyrics, glad that she has gotten happier, but the composition lacked a punch. It really sounds as if Birthday and This Is How We Do merged into one song with mental advocacy as the lyrics instead of sex and stimulation.

  7. Remember when I predicted the tracklisting for Katy's new album? Yeah, I really did something yes. I'm glad Never Really Over is the opening track to the album, it makes for a bold statement tbh.

  8. Diplo is hot. If only he would release better music.

  10. Madonna's debut album is honestly one of the greatest albums ever made. The overall sound may be very outdated, but the compositions are truly flawless.

  14. I just read that "Aunt Jemima" wasn't even the name of the actual ex-slave woman, Nancy Green, and the woman in the widely circulated photograph wasn't even her. It was a picture from an art project and the woman in the picture was actually a white woman doing blackface. THE HELL?!?!

    Further reading here.

  15. Fashion of His Love is kind of Gaga's best song ever yeah? antm1

  16. If you ever thought that Billie Eilish's debut album sounded somewhat familiar to something, it's because it was. Reminiscent of the "second suite" slash latter half of Kate Bush's Hounds of Love album. Starting from And Dream of Sheep.

  17. I have seen plenty of Soldiers (you know, 'cuz it's Britney Army) who trash-talked Sam Asghari. Meanwhile, I'm over here can only WISH to have a boyfriend like THAT. THAT is a MAN, ok? Alright. giveup3

  18. Aside from those who are "reviewing" The Last of Us II because they want to troll the LGBT-friendly concept, most of the negative reviews that I have read on Metacritic are about this: Why is it necessary to play as Abby, the enemy? Why? Why could players not just play as Ellie, the main character, and either Tommy or Dina as the supporting character POV? Why? Also, the creator/developer of the game is annoying as hell. It's very unjust to tell people that "the bots are active" when people legitimately have played and properly reviewed the game on that site. The fuck is wrong with these rich people? The entire LGBT+ community often get shamed and hated because people do this kind of fake-activism/fake-woke thing. Some people even had to accuse that "they just had to kill all the male patriarchy figures yeah agenda!" when Joel's influence on Ellie literally shaped her to become a lot similar to him. Hollywood and Hollywood-like media just keep putting bad ideas on people, what the hell.

  19. "Perhaps Bionic’s main problem is its lack of direction - it's essentially three different albums all rolled into one: generic (but often very good) chart fare, emotional ballads and forward-thinking pop. Had the album simply focused on the latter, it could have been a career-defining moment for Christina." - Attitude.co.uk

This. For fans and retrospective listeners alike, Bionic is a career-defining moment of Xtina's career. However, it's true that the album could have had a universal acclaim back in the day had it focused on the futuristic sound rather than the retro-throwback sound.

  20. I just found out that Nick Jonas has a song called Testify. Listening to it right now and WHAT THE HELL I'M WET giveup3

  21. Emotion is better than Dedicated. Sure, Dedicated is sonically more daring, but the songs of Emotion are God-level high.

  22. I really prefer Madonna's voice pre-Evita rather than post-Evita. Although on the correct albums, such as Ray of Light and American Life, the soft texture of her voice complimented the overall content. This doesn't mean that I like a single thing about American Life, it is still in my bottom half ranking of Madge's discography.

She had that great rasp in her voice which was then gone and she started using her higher register more which really isn't that good unfortunately.

The distinction in her voice in the 80s was really great, but I also like her voice immediately after Evita. (RoL & Music). Oddly enough, I think her best vocal performances are Bedtime Stories and Ray of Light.

Her reliance on her higher register has marred her more recent albums – for me, anyway.
