  2. Anna Wintour, the editor-in-chief of American Vogue, has apologised for using the phrase “migrant chic” to describe a Kanye West fashion show. During an appearance on the US TV talkshow Late Night with Seth Meyers, Wintour discussed pictures of her sitting alone in a VIP area at West’s event at Madison Square Garden, in New York where West was debuting his new album, The Life of Pablo, and his Adidas Yeezy season 3 fashion line. Wintour explained she had arrived early and was “waiting for the Kardashians to arrive en masse – and Jay-Z. So, eventually, they did turn up and The Life of Pablo concert started and the migrant chic fashion show started and they were both wonderful,” she said, in an apparent reference to the clothing on show. She was criticised for her choice of words, with some people posting messages on social media. One Twitter user wrote: “Apparently migrant chic is becoming a thing in the fashion world. Do we really need to spell out how insensitive that is?” Another tweeted: “Anna Wintour called Yeezy season 3 Migrant Chic. Even though Chic is a good thing, the word Migrant can be taken any other ways.” Following the criticism, she said: “I apologise if my remark was offensive in any way. The migrant crisis is real, and I didn’t intend to trivialise that issue.” The Guardian

It will be really fun, and it’s super fashion, you know—you see it a lot on the runways these days. I already told my boyfriend we will not be able to kiss, unless he wants black lips! [laughs] It would also be cool to do the Perry Blue mascara with a black lipstick and just shape the brow.” Source

  10. Time to get excited, Adele fans, because Adele: Live in New York City is being re-aired on NBC on May 6, just in time for your spring social season. And this time the special is going to be bigger and better than before. When I say bigger and better, I mean almost twice as big and almost twice as good, because five new songs will be added to the broadcast. Five songs that were previously cut from the initial airing because of time constraints will be making an appearance in this second broadcast. So what are the songs that will be included in this awesome extended version of Adele’s stunning concert special? Well, they just happen to be some of her greatest. Making the list of songs to be added in to the extended version of the special are, “One and Only,” “Water Under the Bridge,” “Hometown Glory,” “Chasing Pavements” and “Daydreamer.” In other words, all of the songs that made you fall in love with Adele in the first place. The fact that fans are going to get nearly twice as much Adele for their viewing pleasure makes this re-airing news even sweeter. Adele’s initial performance was recorded in November in front of a live audience at New York City’s famed Radio City Music Hall and broke the record for the most-watched concert special when it aired in December with a staggering 11.2 million viewers watching around the world. And you know I was one of those 11 million, watching from my living room, pretending that the entire thing was like one generous gift from Adele herself. In her original performance, the artist spoke openly about her new music, her husband, and dropped a number of perfectly placed f-bombs. But because this re-airing will include previously never-before-seen songs and footage, there’s bound to be way more of the Adele you know and love. Especially since The New York Postreported that many of her lighter moments were cut in order to fit everything in. Seriously, nobody cracks a joke better than Adele in the middle of her performances. That’s what I’m the most excited to see in this new extended version of the special, and that's what every fan should be looking forward to. http://www.bustle.com/articles/155056-adele-live-in-new-york-city-is-coming-back-to-television-its-going-to-be
  11. Meghan, who penned the track, said Lopez had no knowledge of Luke's involvement in the early demo stages song. The producer has recently been the subject of a lawsuit after singer Kesha sued him for "mental manipulation, emotional abuse and sexual assault". Luke has denied the allegations and last week (April 7), the case was thrown out of court. "[It was] not fair on her, not at all," she told OfficialCharts.com and other journalists. "I texted her the song and she had no idea – she thought I did it alone by myself at my house, which a lot of people think because I do do that. "I sent it to her and said, 'do you like the song?' and she said 'I love the song, my kid loves the song – he’s made me play it five times already so I know it’s a hit, when can I cut it?', so I said immediately, whenever you want!" "But I felt terrible when Jennifer got all the hate for [Ain't Your Mama], and it’s just all ridiculous. It’s such a big song for her. After the last album, I’ve been listening to this new album and I’m like, it’s night and day. The music is there, the melodies are there and a lot of my songs are self-empowerment songs, and she loved that about my writing." Source
  12. Kendrick's song "I Do This" is being put under the microscope after allegations that he stole the instrumental from a 1975 Bill Withers track, "Don't You Want to Stay?" According to TMZ, " the company says K. Dot's 2009 track "I Do This" is a complete replica of "Don't You Want To Stay" -- to the point it "consists of nothing more than new rap and hip hop lyrics set to the existing music of "Don't You Want To Stay." The company who owns the song, Mattie Music Group, is suing Kendrick for damages and wants him to stop using the song.
  13. "I'm single," says Trainor, who adds her fame isn't helping her cause when it comes to meeting potential suitors. "It's hard because when I wasn't famous, I got attention. Guys flirted with me all the time," she says. "And then I got famous, and guys won't look at me! And if they do, they're terrified. There was a part where I was just like, 'Yo, am I hideous? How am I not getting hit on? I'm super-cool. I'm super-pretty. I've never dressed better. I should be getting guys lined up!'" Source
