  4. Hiss hiss fellow snakes! I've finally stopped shaking and crying from my first ever Taylor concert, and wanted to Cher what was one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life. Buckle up, because this is a rollercoaster ride of a story. So me and two of my best friends caved and bought tickets to the first Atlanta show a few months ago after we finally realized she wasn't going to post an NC date (which was clearly a direct and deliberate personal attack on us). This was a big undertaking, but none of us had ever been able to see her before, and this was the first time tickets were available for as long as they were. So after months of planning and saving, we were ready to go to Friday's show. We left Charlotte in what we thought would be plenty of time to get to our hotel, get dinner, and not rush around trying to get to the show. Clearly we underestimated the power of Atlanta traffic. It ended up taking us two whole hours longer than it was supposed to to get to the hotel, so we didn't even check in until 5:15 (we wanted to be at the stadium at 5:30 LoL). Of course traffic was even worse getting to the parking deck (I had to resist mowing down a few pedestrians and meltdowns were being had), and we didn't get parked until 6:45. And Charli was starting at 7 (and we're huge fans of both her and Camila, so we didn't want to miss anything). Once we park, we bolt for the stadium and hop on the elevator to get to the street level. It breaks down, and so did we. Hysterical because everything just became hilarious at this point, we manage to open the doors and we just start running at this point. We dash through mud and youths to get to the gates, and finally approach the gorgeous.mp3 new stadium, and then suddenly the past 7 hours didn't matter anymore. We made it, and were finally about to see our favorite artist live for the first time. As soon as we enter the gates, we couldn't stop smiling. The staff at the stadium could sense our excitement, and we giddily took our glow up wristbands and find our way to the nosebleeds. Approximately 50 million flights of stairs later, we get to our seats in the nosebleeds. We settle in just in time for Charli to come on, and then we just start dancing like no one was watching (even though we were definitely being judged by some nearby parents). Charli is amazing, and excels at the difficult job of getting the crowd pumped as people are still filing into their seats. We dance and sing along the whole time, truly living our best lives. By the end of her set, I happen to notice that we're the only ones in our general area dancing, let alone standing up. We knew that people on Taylor's team watched the crowd for stuff like this, but we were genuinely just having fun. And then it happens. Two songs into Camila's set (talk about gorgeous.mp3), I happen to notice a guy wearing a badge that looked like he worked for the stadium or something. I didn't think too much about it, so I look away, but then notice two people freaking out and running down the stairs, and realized something must have happened. I told my friends what happened, and we immediately think "THE REP ROOM." After this, I play it cool but keep an eye on him and see him look at us, but then he disappears. We assumed he was done scoping out our section and that he moved on to the next one. And then he shows up on our side. I say "guys play it cool but I think he's coming towards us." So they pretend to be really into Camila (who we unfortunately forgot existed at this moment) and walks towards us. He waves me over since I'm the closest to the aisle, and he asks "is it just the 3 of you?" Internally screaming, I say yes, and he says "would you want to go to the Snake Pit?" I almost throw up as I respond "are you serious" and "YES." I turn to my friends who are pretty much having seizures at this point, and tell them what happened. What happened over the next 20 minutes is a flurry of running and yelling as we make a mad dash down to the floor level (I'm pretty sure I accidentally kicked a kid in the back of the head as we scrambled out of our seats and got some deeply irritated looks from some nearby parents). After several wrong turns and directional advice later, we get to the pit and are joined by around 50 other people with similar stories. We get settled in just in time for Camila to finish her set with Havana (amazing) and get a few minutes to wrap our heads around what happened. We get to know everyone around us and admire everyone's costumes (shoutout to the beautiful "LWYMMD" biker girls) and hear their experiences of getting into the pit while the stage is set for Taylor. And then before we know it, the lights go out and the absolutely massive, impossibly high-def screens come on, and so it goes...the best concert I've ever experienced. You can read any review of the tour to find out how the show was, as I won't spoil it here. Just know that if you have a ticket, it's worth every penny. I'll never forget the little moments my friends and I had leading up to and during the show, and I'm so grateful we got to experience the show we did in such an unexpected way. If you haven't seen the show yet, the answer is no, you're not ready for it. Go and have a great time, soak up every minute of this immaculate tour, and may the memories break your fall.

  8. OKAY, so this was literally one of the best nights of my life The tour was fucking magical, so for anybody who cares I'll share my experience or if you just want pictures then they're there too So, the opener came on first who was "Wes Period" he was alright, he only did like 4 songs and nobody in the audience was there yet so I felt bad Then like an hour later Macklemore came on, who was surprisingly really fucking good Like, he got the audience bopping But you could tell like 80% of the audience were there for Kesha because everyone was rainbowed OUT Also, one of Macklemore's back-up dancers wanted to FUCK. I gave her a heart once cause she was slaying those dances and vocals and then whenever I'd look in her direction the whole show she'd be winking or blowing kisses (like a dozen times), very uncomfortable for a gay They put me on the big screen a couple times too, so when I went to the bathroom I had 3 people tell me I was famous now, my shining moment Then after Macklemore's set, there was about a 45-minute break before Kesha came on. She hopped outta that fucking spaceship and was amazing, I couldn't imagine her coming out on stage any other way now She waved to me once and laughed a couple times when I screamed and it was the BEST THING EVER. My friend kept telling her to spit on me, because she spat her water on me at her FTW Show and it was the highlight of my life She really turned the audience the fuck out and everybody was bopping and twerking with their glitter. Praying was literally the most magical moment, so please watch that video if you watch any of these The whole audience started chanting her name and it was so loud and she cried so many times. She also was so cute and kept getting distracted by everyones glitter and lights and wouldn't stop talking about how much she loved jellyfish (because an audience member was dressed like a jellyfish) Also, Take It Off bopped so hard and she must've gotten at least a dozen or so bra's and I threw my shirt on stage and she said she was going to take them all home with her because she's a hoarder QUEEN HAS MY FUCKING SHIRT All in all, best concert ever PHOTOS VIDEOS Also, there's way more videos but they are all vertical, so I'll save them for GIFs

  12. ok come thru gaga According to Deadline’s Pete Hammond and Nancy Tartaglione, Warner Bros. recently held its first official “A Star Is Born” screening for exhibitors and the reaction was “through the roof.” The screening took place Wednesday, July 18 at the Dolby Screening Room in Hollywood. Cooper appeared in person before the screening began to introduce the film to exhibitors. One major theater owner told Deadline he predicts “big box office” and “Oscar nominations across the board” for the movie, including best picture, best director, and acting nominations for Cooper and Gaga. Another exhibitor from a top movie theater chain told Deadline Cooper’s directorial debut is “fantastic.” The exhibitor was impressed by Cooper’s singing and “predicted Oscar buzz for both leads.” The exhibitor also mentioned Cooper’s decision to film all of the music performances live paid off, as the concert scenes felt and sounded like they were shot and recorded from raw concert footage. https://www.indiewire.com/2018/07/a-star-is-born-screening-exhibitors-oscar-nomination-bradley-cooper-lady-gaga-1201985830/
  13. Madonna may have been accused by some critics of cultural appropriation with her 1990 hit "Vogue," but that doesn’t mean she’s not welcome on the set of Pose, the FX series about New York’s LGBT ballroom scene in the 1980s. Ryan Jamaal Swain, who stars on the show as a young man who runs away to New York City to become a dancer after his parents throw him out of the house for being gay, tells The Hollywood Reporter that he wants the "Material Girl" to make an appearance during their second season. “Madonna, you gave us 'Vogue,'” Swain said Thursday night at the opening gala of Outfest, L.A.’s annual LGBT film festival. “You gave us that moment … I just want you to bring your butt and be a part of Pose. We love you and we adore you.” FX announced Wednesday that the series — co-created by Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Steven Canals — was getting a sophomore season. "Filming should begin this winter," Swain said. The show, which premiered five weeks ago during Gay Pride Month, has made history for having the largest cast of trans actors on a scripted television series, including Mj Rodriguez, Dominique Jackson, Indya Moore, Hailie Sahar and Angelica Ross. “There has been an abundance of young people who have come up to me and cried a cried and said, ‘Because of you I came out to my family,” Swain said. “The show has touched so many lives. I want all the young people to know that I love you and I see you and I hear you. I want all the young people watching the show to know that they have a voice.” Pose can be painful at times — literally. Swain showed up at Outfest with a cast on his wrist. “I was on set dancing on the season finale and my thumb went one way and my hand went the other way,” he explained. “I chipped my base bone in my thumb.” And then he added with a smile, “But it’s worth it.” https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/rambling-reporter/pose-actor-ryan-jamaal-swain-urges-madonna-appear-second-season-1127155
