The SS100 is a list of the people who really make the industry. Evaluating songs from radio around the world, streaming data and sales for 2014, we have compiled a yearbook of the most valuable writers & producers in the world.

To create our list, SongSplits uses mountains of data and lots of math to determine who, of the more than 3 million registered songwriters around the world, are the most relevant in music publishing & are possibly the top earners of the people who write & produce music.

Based on AIRPLAY, WEB STREAMS and DIGITAL SALES

A. streaming probably killed her by like 60 positions

B. she was inactive for the first half of the year, and i doubt it ends in December; probably October, so she only had like 3 months.

C. it is worldwide, so she's not AS big as she is in the US.

I think it's about credited songwriting and FINANCES (earnings etc) combined with it. It's NOT about 'Oh, but that is in my opinion not a songwriter, and that in my opinion is a great songwriter. ... ' - Katy is a workhorse when it comes to writing and creativity, it isn't just the few things you hear on an album of hers, and most importantly she understands business like 'pop singers' rarely do themselves. Not surprised she deserves this place, and yes, good luck with discrediting it. LMAO
