Honestly, as a stan, the Bad Blood video is kinda weak

Recommended Posts

And I HATE myself for saying this, but I don't know what Taylor was thinking with this single.

First of all, why did she give up all of her verses for KENDRICK LAMAR? Why did she delegate herself to being a HOOK GIRL on HER OWN SINGLE? It just sounds stupid and it sounds like she's trying to appeal to an urban audience that she has no need to appeal to. Give him one verse, don't take away all of yours.

Second, the video itself is fierce and all, but it doesn't make much sense. It just kinda seems like fierce cameo after fierce cameo for the sake of it. It reminded me of a messy Toxic. If it had been longer I think it would've benefited from that.

I honestly feel like i'm the only one who feels this way. Yes, its fierce, yes Slaylor looks amazing, but the fact that she made herself a hook girl and threw people in for the sake of it kinda bothers me.

Hopefully the single still slays tho. demi1

I really like the video and hope that the rumor that there's more to come is true. I'm not a fan of how she gave up the verses cause they were the only parts of the song I really liked other than the bridge rip2

Honestly, I can agree with some points.  But for the verse removal, maybe she removed all her verses so it'll appeal to urban more? Since pop radio already loves her unconditionally ( bey1) She pretty much wants to guarantee that this song will destroy all areas of the radio.

Tbh the videos makes more sense after you watch it a couple of times, the more you watch it, the more it makes sense... or at least for me it does. jj1

I think we can all agree the remix is trash.

Some people say the video is the best one this year in pop music, and others hate it. I'm disappointed by it personally because last year we got Blank Space. That video was literally everything; it had the right amount of mystery, storytelling and emotion mixed it. This video just seems like a Mortal Kombat commercial, and from the hype she's been building over the last three weeks, I wanted so much more.

I love the remix though.

Sis, that is what we call delusion on here. rip1 Welcome to the world of stanning something that is widely considered shit. I can't deny I have made a lot of experiences with that myself. If you want someone to talk, my inbox is open for you. Feel free to message me. katyanna1

I would agree except it's actually being loved and lauded by many. Just because a few stans/gays on a forum don't like it doesn't mean it's 'widely considered shit'. dead2 You should know given many said stans/fags dragged Rebel Heart but it did well with the critics.

How else was she gonna get people to buy a song they already have? ny2.gif' alt='ny4'>

Every part of this felt like desperation to get the song to #1. The rihmix so people will buy the single since they already have the album version, the hyping of the video for weeks with damn near everyone BUT Barack Obama making cameos to get other stanbases watching, etc. ayumi1

I feel the pain of everyone who's disappointed after the hype. I've learned the hard way to try as hard as possible not to get swept up in it when any of my faves does anything that gets a lot of hype because it's so rare when anything lives up to it. oprah2

It did feel mostly like an intro to something bigger. They were still introducing characters well into the bridge. Most of them weren't even necessary, but I mean, it was fun seeing so many celebrity cameos.

I wouldn't say it's weak. It still has killer production, huge celebrity cast, and the mixed instrumentals are better.

Plus, it was smart of her to remix it with Kendrick. Everyone already has the original, so this gets it more sales. Smart move.

I don't think its smart to make herself the hook girl and basically give up half her song to Kendrick. A remix with deeper synths and him getting a verse, sure. But to make her a glorified Ashanti on her own single is kinda desperate imo.

I agree his parts should've been lessened. But the overall idea of remixing had to happen at this point since 9 million people already own the song on the album.

It's just like you said, cameo after cameo and at the end you realize that none of them were particularly important to the storyline. It should have been just her and Selena. It was more like "let's see how many celebs we can put into a 4 minute video".

Urban radio will never play a Taylor Swift song though.

Bad Blood isn't a real urban song, it's just been given an 'urban' mix and Kendrick raps over the verses.
