I meant more womanly, as in her sexy and sensual side, not the technicolor sexy she's been doing. Her recent Moschino classic look or her Interview Magazine photoshoot those are the ones I love. A black and white music video would be cool or something in between those lines.

 

What exactly is a dark album to you? it could mean many ways, Katy was actually joking about this "dark album" thing. Cause if by dark we'd get an album full of The One That Got  Away, Wide Awake, Who Am I living For and By The Grace Of God. these song deals with "nostalgia" "divorce" "burden" and "depression" those are the dark themes she meant, its not ETs Dhs and LLs. Are people ready for this? would you be here for it? I would, but on a realistic level it will alienate her demographic.

Oh, ok. I would like that too. It would be AMAZING if Katy shows a more sensual and sexual side of herself in a more risky way and not-mainstream way. Not here for her black and white music video though.

I do consider an album like PRISM dark since it explores themes and concepts about divorce, taking responsibility, thoughts of suicide/depression, burden, and nostalgia (although it is a pretty lighthearted, fun, colorful, and happy album at the same time). And I know that when Katy said that her next album was going to be dark she was going through a dark chapter of her life and when she went down that road, she saw and found light and that's why we have an album like PRISM. Imagine KP4 like this:

• track list of 9-10 songs with no deluxe editions

• dark, industrial and gothic style (musically, visually, etc.)

• pop, dance, electro, synth, disco, new age, house, techno, folk, worldbeat, ballad, R&B, hip hop, trap, alternative, and acoustic genres

• religious, sexual, and spiritual imageries & symbolism + concepts/themes related to witchcraft

That is what I want and hope for KP4 to be.

-9 is an EP, 10-12 would be amazing, I love 12 tracks. 

-Gothic? not so much if its too cosplayish or like Kerli's Walking On Air video then no, if she was 25 then yes, but Evanescence kind of Gothic would do good to her. 

- RnB I can totally want her to do that, Hip Hop is something she'll defos do in the near future but I'm more excited in RNB, and Alternative too.

- Not really here for a provocative religious imagery that's too Madonna and that's so not Katy, Uncle is the closest we get if we're going something religious but not provocative, that would backfire.

9 songs is considered an EP? So MJ's Thriller is an EP? I think 4-8 songs is considered an EP, not 9 songs.

- Katy has talked about reinventing herself a lot this era, so it will not be impossible if she becomes gothic in a cosplayish level. It would fit her very well and will be the perfect reinvention!

Oh just checked its not, Lana's Paradise is 8. well I just feel its a lil too short.

 

Cosplay is too gimicky and pretentious for her age, just some not so try hard gothic looks are okay. I have feeling everything will hit us all at once, this might be the last pop Katy we'll see, so It'll be big.

I tried to have thoughts, but nothing came up untill recently    

 

I guess I'd want something mature and dark (IT'S FUCKING TIME). I don't care what people would say, I want her to evolve as an artist, and don't just stick to bubblegum-pop. I want more songs like Dark Horse, E.T., BTGOG and etc., but a few pop bops (like BDAY) would be welcome as well.

 

I also want her and her managment team to handle this era better than they did handle PRISM. Proper and right single choices, nice videos (no BDAY type of mess), amazing promo.

 

Looks should also be darker and more mature, but with a taste of her signature colorful and candy-like taste. She shouldn't go full emo, but also shouldn't stick to her traditional look.

 

As for the release of the album or the first single or even hints about them, I don't care. Whenever she feels it's ready, then it will be time.

 

 

 

Enough for now. I now feel very egoistic for all my shoulds, wants and Is, but it's what came up. Sorry if it's too self-centric and demanding.

My opinions on here are going to be so unpopular.

 

First, I don't get what you guys mean by 'dark' album, and at this point I'm too afraid to ask.

 

 

I want an album with two or three empowering songs like Firework or Roar because that's what Katy knows to do best. I don't want a lot of DH's or ET's, because all those kind of tracks sound familiar and if she makes the full album like that, it'll be boring. At least for me, just two trap tracks will be okay.

 

What I want more is some power ballads like Ghost or The One That Got Away, some love songs like Legendary Lovers and Spiritual, maybe she could try with world songs. Some latino vibe to one of the tracks would be awesome! And I definitely need more tracks like It Takes Two, This Moment and Pearl. Power songs with acoustic influences.

 

And for the looks, I want a more mature Katy like Forbes photoshoot or maybe even a little more sexual, but I wouldn't like to be a full witchcraft album.

 

PLOT TWIST: What if we get a Greatest Hits with just two or three new songs?
