this could have been her best tour, easily. cry3

And consequently, the Music Tour could have been incredible as well cause she could have fit in more oldies.

As amazing as the DWT was, a 99 tour for Erotica-BS-ROL only sounds INCREDIBLE, especially with the re-arrangements she surely would've had Orbit do for some of the non-ROL tracks.

And that would've set the scene perfectly for a Reinvention Tour styled "Music Tour" and maybe American Life could've gotten the focus it deserved later.

This could've been an AMAZING tour. Truly a missed opportunity not touring for her best era. The era could've been even better. However, i loved the Drowned World Tour, the Sky Fits Heaven Performance of that tour was FIRE! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

This.

I actually made two set lists a while ago that work in sequence:

MANTRA WORLD TOUR 1999

I Psychedelia (SUMMER)

Symbolizing youth. A futuristic interpretation of the "Summer of Love '69". The hippie movement was deeply influenced by Hinduism and that was exactly where Madonna was at that point in her life. "Shanti/Ashtangi" is actually a song based on the opening mantra used in yoga classes and she opened her VMA performance with that song. It is pretty obvious that it was also going to open the tour.

01. Shanti/Ashtangi
02. Beautiful Stranger (including a Sitar solo)
03. Skin (with elements of "Erotica")
04. Candy Perfume Girl (with elements of "Whole Lotta Love" by Led Zeppelin)
05. Human Nature

II Argentina (AUTUMN)

Symbolizing maturity. This section would be very sensual and intimate at first before going really grande once we get to the Evita part of the section. The first half would have a cabaret singer vibe followed by a short intermission as Madonna prepares to change into her Evita character for the last two performances.

06. To Have and Not to Hold - Interlude

07. I Want You / Forbidden Love
08. Secret
09. You'll See
10. Don't Cry for Me Argentina / You Must Love Me
11. Take a Bow / Don't Cry for Me Argentina (Reprise)

III Oceanic (WINTER)

Symbolizing death. Lots of dry ice on the stage, very similar to her promo performances during the Ray of Light era but obviously more large scale and epic. There would also be a lot of crowd interaction during this section with her hover above the audience on a platform.

12. Has to Be - Interlude

13. Frozen
14. The Power of Good-Bye
15. I'll Remember
16. Drowned World/Substitute for Love
17. Swim

IV Geisha (SPRING)

Symbolizing rebirth. Lots of Japanese imagery during this section. Similar to the Geisha section of the DWT.

18. Sanctuary - Interlude

19. Bedtime Story (Orbital Mix)
20. Mer Girl / Sky Fits Heaven / Mer Girl (Reprise)
21. Nothing Really Matters
22. Like a Prayer

Encore:

The grand finale. I know Cyber-raga probably wasn't actually recorded then but she had the idea of recording it ever since she decided to record Shanti/Ashtangi as Cyber-Raga is actually the closing mantra used in yoga classes. Therefore, it would have been logical to have it somehow incorporated into the show.

23. Ray of Light / Cyber-Raga (with elements of "Like a Prayer", "Holiday" and "Everybody")

SPINNING WORLD TOUR 2001

I RAVE

1. Impressive Instant
2. Lucky Star
3. Ray of Light (Sasha Remix)
4. Runaway Lover
5. Amazing

II ORIENTAL

6. Rain - Interlude (with elements of "Teardrops" by Massive Attack & "Here Comes the Rain Again" by Eurythmics)

7. Frozen (Stereo MC's Remix)
8. Open Your Heart
9. Nobody's Perfect
10. Take a Bow
11. Paradise (Not for Me)

III COWGIRL

12. Material Girl - Interlude

13. What It Feels Like for a Girl
14. Express Yourself
15. Don't Tell Me
16. True Blue / Like a Virgin (Acoustic)
17. I Deserve It

IV LATIN / GHETTO

18. Gone - Interlude

19. Dress You Up
20. Who's That Girl
21. La Isla Bonita
22. Holiday
23. Music

THE MUSIC TOUR WOULD HAVE BEEN HELLA FUCKING AMAZING!!!
