Taylor Swift’s iron-clad curl clause

Hal Rubenstein, former InStyle editor at large, is dishing about his time at the mag, including Taylor Swift’s hard-core hair demands.

“The first time she was shot for InStyle, one stipulation of the contract was that she refused to have her hair straightened. It had to be all done in those ringlet curls,” he says. He also had to deal with inappropriately extravagant gifts.

“There were things that were outrageous,” recalls Rubenstein, author of the new book “The Looks of Love,” referencing an out-of-this-world expensive Cartier watch sent by a big-name designer. “It was creepy to keep,” he says, noting he returned the gift. “It’s not even because of the rules of the magazine, I just wasn’t comfortable.”

One present he always welcomes? The “huge bottle of rare Italian extra-virgin olive oil and an enormous hunk of amazing Parmesan cheese” that the Max Mara team sends every year. “Talk about an inexpensive gift that always hits home.”

It's weird that she RIHfused to have her hair straightened for that shoot considering she has actually straightened her hair herself during middle school and freshman year as well as for the "Our Song" music video and parts of the "Fearless" and "Speak Now" eras dead2

i know this is an unpopular opinion and I'm aware that it causes damage to her hair but I always pRIHfered straight hair with slight waves on Taylor as opposed to her classic "spaghetti" hairstyle jj1
