1. Taylor (mainly bc she was the only one releasing music besides Madonna and Lana who are technically dead to the mainstream and therefore are no competition.)

2. Madonna (released one of the WW best selling albums of the year (despite her singles flopping) with the leak mess, her instagram, the media presence and good reviews of the tour, as well as her media presence this year in general adding up to it). Anyway, her controversy and promo added to her relevancy (unfortunately it didn't contribute to her sales)  

3. Rihanna (lbr everyone is still perched for ANTi)

4. Gaga (She was honestly completely irrelevant during the Ass 2 Mouth era but her recent live performances and her starring in AHS made her a bit more relevant again)

5. Lana (Honeymoon and it's singles are her biggest flop, but Lana is strangely such well-respected and somehow relevant artist. So many people in the industry Stan her and see her as an inspiration...)

6. Katy (She has been very quiet since the Superbowl and thus really hasn't been relevant. Pretty sure she will be again once her new album drops.)

7. Britney (Pretty Girls and Vegas)

8. Christina Aguilera (Pregnancy and no The Voice - she has been semi-irrelevant. We'll see if her new music will eventually change something about that status. I really wouldn't mind to be honest. She deserves a comeback aka JLo.)
