Mariah is local. She never cracked the European market and most of her singles only did well due to payola from her husband. I, as a German pop fan who has been listening to pop music ever since I was very little can list exactly 4 songs: Hero, All I Want for Christmas & We Belong Together and Touch My Body.

sis...... mariah carey has sold over 30 million albums in europe  sure, she was never as big as celine or madonna there, but she WAS huge. Just because YOU dont remember her songs, it doesnt mean she wasnt a massive star. I dont know most of Madonnas/Celines hits and I know ALL of Mariahs and I'm from the US. Does that mean Hagdonna and Celine arent massive in America? No. Let me remind you that Mariah Carey was the BIGGEST selling recording artist - male OR female - of the 90s. Literally, the most successful artist of that decade, in terms of album AND record sales. Just smh.
