Circus: Overrated, Underrated, or Fairly Rated?

Fairly rated. It's right in the middle of her discography for me.

I feel like the album has grown on the fanbase, when it was released a lot of people didnt like it because they wanted BLACKOUT 2.0 PLS QWEEEN!1! which would have been a mess. Danja's songs for Circus already sounded dated back then.

 

I do think it's an uderrated album but the tracklist could've used some work tbh

Phonography, Unusual You, Mannequin, Shattered Glass, If U Seek Amy, Womanizer, Circus, Trouble, Blur, Out From Under all good songs

It's a weird album to me -- imo, one of Britney's weirdest. Songs like Mmm Papi, Blur, Amnesia, Shattered Glass and Mannequin (and even Circus and Womanizer) are different for Brit and they don't sound like a lot of her discography.

Circus grew on me after awhile. It has some high highs and some really low lows, making it a very inconsistent album quality wise. Blackout was more consistent overall. 

It's usually towards the middle of the ranking for me.

Circus has Phonography and Blur. It WINS!  But seriously, it was Britney's weakest album after BOMT until BJ took that title. Not that it's lacking, just that all her other albums slay more.

It's a decent collection of tunes but half of it feels like Blackout outtakes especially 'Kill The Lights' (Radar goes without saying). I'm not complaining because I like Blackout but you can tell it was rushed and fast-tracked to restore public interest in her brand.

Anyway, my top 5 songs are: Kill The Lights, Blur, Lace and Leather, Mannequin and Circus.
