I NEED TO BUY THE ALBUM EVVEN IF I WONT LIKE IT. giveup1 UGH. (I need money for it too. jj2 )

If you wanted to buy one of his original albums you should buy "Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars". It's considered to be his masterpeice and one of the greatest rock albums ever. cry6

If not you could always just buy a greatest hits compilation julia1

I just saw this on the news and it honestly breaks my heart. I started listening to him and looking him up when I was 17 and I still look up to him (and still do) as a role model. Someone who's worked so hard on himself, got recognized for being the best version of himself, and was ultimately realized as one of the most unique figures weve ever had in music.

I listened to his album yesterday and even though I think it's amazing and like nothing he's ever done before I'm just sad that he had to be so troubled and apocalytpic before he died but regardless he never lost his passion and kept pushing boundaries for himself and his music at the age of 69. He truly was someone the younger generations should look up to.

I know how you feel. I remember watching the news about Whitney's death back in 2012. It literally broke my heart. Her music was a great part of my childhood and it felt like loosing or watching a part of my childhood die.

I really haven't listened much to his music but I know that he is a true legend. Trailblazer as some have called him in here is definitely the most appropriate description. One of the very few male artists to push the boundaries of gender. What an inspiring artist.

It's iconic, creating an album surrounding his death and intending it to be his swan song.

How a man can face his mortality and demise in such a way is both confronting, macabre and uncomfortable as well as genius, creative and groundbreaking - much like Bowie was, and still is.

For a figure that seemed surreal and eternal, when his inevitable death did come it's only fitting it happened in this manner. What a send off.
