30 years since the Challenger disaster

I can't imagine how horrifying it would've been to witness this live. RIP to the lives that were lost in this disaster.

Horrible. And the Columbia anniversary is in a couple days too. For some reason I can't for the life of me to remember that on TV, I was probably caught up with my own teenage problems back then, but when I stumbled across that reading about space disasters, I was speechless!

 

The only consolation here is that the deaths were quick.
