Sure, Hillary is doing better, but him being as close as he is says something about the general electorate that makes it seem unlikely to take that long.

I don't disagree - but I've always said this to Bernie supporters who think that he's unbeatable or he's the harbinger of some sort of revolution.

The general american electorate is a lot redder than you guys think it is - that's not to say that Bernie's not changed things - but for this cycle, and at least the next one, candidates like him are not going to be able to win the election, they can't.

That'll change as our parent's generation goes into retirement and eventually starts to die off - but that's quite a long time from now.

It's just a matter of surviving the next decade, regardless if it's Trump or Hillary.

Bernie has no chance tbh!

First of all, Obama hasn't endorsed anyone dead2

Second of all, I don't give a flying fuck who Obama likes dead2

Third and finally, perhaps you should try defending your political choice with actual facts and policy positions rather than this hollow "But she's winning!!!" thing that, coincidentally, she also tried at the last town hall. Yes, she is, but that's sure as shit not a reason to support her. Lol

I don't think he's unbeatable, but by every measure we can find this far ahead, he does better against Republicans than Hillary by significant margins, because he pulls in Independents. Independents are the largest voting group in the US. Yes, there are absolutely large right wing strongholds, but the country (and the world) is moving left, albeit slowly. Again, the fact is, his numbers are a sign that the shift is happening.

No, it doesn't look like he's going to be the nominee, but these are still important. I'm just praying things continue in that direction.

What scares me is the thought of Bernie supporters sitting out if he isn't the nominee, or worse, voting for Trump. Unfortunately, as much as I wish it was different, we are a two party system right now, and an Independent or Third Party candidate has no viable path to victory.

Hillary is extremely problematic on many different levels, and she's far from my first choice (I want a real progressive like Elizabeth Warren), but on her worst day, she's better than Trump on his best day. If four years of moderate policies and a continuation of the Obama presidency is what it takes to keep a narcissistic maniac like Trump out of office, i'm willing to take it. We cannot risk him getting in. I don't trust that man with our military, or any part of our government. Money in politics will be the last thing on our minds with him destroying America.

1. it's more than likely that Obama will endorse Hillary.. if you can't see this after the 8 years of his presidency then.. awk1

2. You should care about who Obama endorses. That's the biggest endorsement a candidate can get awk1

3. I used the video just as reference. The facts are that Bernie need to realize that soon it will be mathmatically impossible to secure the nomination. I get that he's here for no debt after college & not supporting big companies & stop NAFTA. but sir, I need you to see thing realisticly.. You can;t just win presidency & expect to just waltz up in there & expect congress to fall at your feet. to make it worse he's a democrat. Look how long it took Obama to make changes with Cuba after expressing he wanted to change it back in 2008. You don't have to support her, but i'm saying in MY OPINION I want someone who actually knows the stress of being  in the white house. who knows how to handle foreign relations & let alone have the influence of 2 of the best presidents to ever step in office. LOL?

Trump can beat Hillary, and that's what Democrats/Liberals/Progressives should be scared about.

Trump polls really far behind - but Hillary, she's just a stones throw away from him on that continuum.

It's interesting, terrifying and scary all at the same time.

I'm just so happy that Ted Cruz isn't going allowed anywhere near the White House.

  1. I literally do not care.

  2. That doesn't mean I have to care or agree though. I don't blindly follow the party lines, and neither should you.

  3. Holy shit I literally JUST said "BUT SHE'S WINNING!!!" is not a reason to support her. STOP. That's not a fucking policy position. Nobody is saying congress will fall at your feet. He has literally based his entire campaign around creating widespread excitement and involvement at all levels of government, and keeping that momentum going to shift congress to the left and bring back a democrat majority. And I quote: "No president can do it alone. Not Bernie Sanders, not anyone." So your argument is a complete logical fallacy. "To make it worse he's a democrat"? What the fuck does that even mean? dead2

I'm going to get dragged for this, I'm sure - or even looked down upon - but I can stomach Donald Trump being President.

I couldn't stomach Ted Cruz being President - and the fact that he's taken himself out of the race makes me really happy.

If it's Trump vs. Hillary, I'll be voting for Jill Stein, personally. Bernie polls SO much better against Republicans than Hillary, so if anyone is to blame for a close general election, it's the people supporting Hillary in the primaries. Sorry you don't like it, but that's just a fact.
