Should "Get Mine Get Yours" had been a single over Can't Hold Us Down?

Recommended Posts

Can't Hold Us Down is fucking catchy. Get Mine Get Yours is different, but definitely not radio material. I like the song and am not here to criticize your taste, but I think it has zero commercial appeal. Christina was also 21/22 when that song came out and Dirrty pretty much solidified her as a slut by the media. It would have been a terrible marketing choice.

Get Mine Get Yours sounds like single material to me. Song is so catchy, sexy and elegant. Those ending strings are everything.

This album just has like 10 single material songs:

1. Dirrty

2. Beautiful

3. Fighter

4.. CHUD

5. The Voice Within

6. Get Mine, Get Yours

7. Infatuation

8. Walk Away

9. Cruz

10. Impossible

And then the masterpiece "I'm OK" which would have never been released. Talk about a legendary pop album.

Stripped is so good, she probably could have released any song on that album as a single.

"Get Mine, Get Yours" would've been a good choice of a single but the five singles we got were good choices. I know that some stickers on some copies of "Stripped" mentioned 'Impossible', so maybe

Nope. The five singles are perfect the way they are. Impossible should've been the 6th and final single.
