It truly was an enjoyable, fun, heartwarming, saddening series finale. However, what it wasn't, was shocking. I must admit that the part with Karen confessing to the murders was not how I expected the trial to end, but that was just about the only real shock (until them all leaving the lane and losing touch.)

I definitely thought it was a great way to wrap up the series after all these years, but there were 4 bones I have to pick with the finale.

1) Katherine was so out of place. She popped up, bragged, offered a job, and left. If anything, I imagined she'd show up to give her condolences over Mike's death, after she was madly in love with him. Not one mention of Mike from her.

2) Andrew really wasn't around for his mother's trial? He couldn't have went and supported her, or came to her little get together after she was found innocent? You'd think they could have fit him into the finale.

3) Edie needed to be in the ghost scene. I know exactly what happened with her and Marc, but they could have worked through it for that one scene. It would have been haunting.

4) My main complaint, however, is that they didn't truly go out with a bang. I had always imagined the show ending with a suicide, just as it started. I like that they all got happy endings, but I feel they could have made it a little more tragic for one of them. Not everyone gets that perfect ending in life. I really wish they would have killed off one of the four housewives, had some big dramatic explosion at some point, or just have some sort of epic twist. When it comes to series finales, I really love twists that completely change the dynamic of the show. I like my series finales to make it so when I rewatch the show, I have an entirely new perspective of the entire series. This finale had no such shocker. There was nothing that when I watch the show over, will make me look at it in a whole new light.

Despite my four main complaints, the finale did satisfy me. They could have done a little more with it, but I'm glad they were able to tie everything together. And I loved the (cliffhanger) ending. It just shows how the show never truly changed, and there will always be [something] happening on the lane. (Still think it'd been cooler for someone to commit suicide, even in a flash forward.)

Agree with most of your points. It was kinda dissapointing that there wasn't a twist or something. And for the last episode I expected something bigger tbh

I mean the episode was okay but there have been episodes which were much better.

All in all it the end was alright but I didn't expect them to leave wisteria lane rih1

completely agree with tim and yeah, while enjoyable, i definitely expected much more.

:( 'six feet under's finale remains the best i've ever seen... 2 days ago only. now i'm thinking i shouldn't have watched it, because it set a way too high bar for DH's finale and..

so, they've never played poker after that? because mary alice said that their promise that they were going to play poker again 'it was never meant to be'. honestly it made me doubt their friendship.

I know that there was no "bang" at the end, but I understand that, thay just made closure for almost eberything.

It's kind of sad, that they finnaly never meet again cry7

But it's more real, I guees we all have this situation with someone close to us with we promised to be still in touch and after all we lost each other anyway.

I'm just really afraid about this last scene with new woman on street, if thay want to make new show it will ruin whole ending. If you end something, let it be "ended" :]

And I say to myself

It's wonderful, wonderful

Oh, so wonderful, my love

I think they just lost contact with each other. They start they lives in completly different places, and they started to grow apart. I can understand that actually. I've lost few best friends because of changing our lives and entourage .

It was so emotional to come to an end of 8 years long story. Last episodes were amazing, but I gotta admit that the end wasnt what I expected, and I was a bit disappointed, at least they could show them playing poker, and what happened with Susan?
