Recreate the E=MC2 Era

Recommended Posts

I am still FUMING about the single choices of this era and how short it was.

I would make it:

  1. Touch My Body (February 2008) - #1, ofc
  2. I Stay In Love (April 2008) - top 20/10 (rides off the success of TMB and is more GP-friendly than Bye Bye since it's not about people dying lmao)
  3. Cruise Control (July 2008) - summer smash, probably in the top 5 and maybe even #1
  4. I'm That Chick (October 2008) - probably won't do well but it's SO GOOD yas2 imagine the slutty video yas2
  5. Migrate (January 2009) - would suit the electronic/hiphop sound of the time, could be remixed to sound more electronic dance, could hit the top 5, maybe even #1 if the remix is real good
  6. Bye Bye (March 2009) - top 20/10, era (almost) ends
  7. I'll Be Lovin' U Long Time (June 2009) - surprise bitch, another cute summer hit, hits around top 10 and does better riding off the success of Migrate, era actually ends

Basically following the pattern of TEOM. Einstein is so diverse yet they chose the same sounding shit as singles. Like wtf, Love Story can choke and Bye Bye too tbh

Memoirs can wait until 2011/2012 and MCII can choke as well! wendy1

Yes, the era was short but I wouldn't see it that long either laughcry1

But I'd make it:

1. • Touch My Body :  February 2008

2. • I'm That Chick : May 2008

3. • I'll Be Luvin' You Long Time : August 2008

4. • Migrate : November 2008

5. I Stay In Love : December-January 2009

Bye Bye should NEVER have been released as a single, she was so obviously gunning for One Sweet Day 2.0 but it killed the era. Migrate, Cruise Control, or even Side Effects would all have served as better singles, particularly the former track.

Right??? Bye Bye doesn't even compare to One Sweet Day. Like, it's a cute song, but it's not single material.

I would do:

1. Touch My Body

2. Migrate - Would be a #1 hit. Almost everybody outside the Lambily who has heard the entire album lists it as a fave track)

3. Side Effects - Call out Tommy & SLAY him with the controversy YAS

4. I Stay In Love

5. For The Record
