They didn't sell this much  brit15   HIAM was front loaded and it barely even sold 1.6m in US during digital sales peak, TTWE was bigger hit in US but hardly that big outside for extra 2.5m. I wanna Go wasn't that big outside US where it sold around 1.5m, just saying jj2

Anyway:

Britney 2010-2011

Madonna 2012-2016

But Britney feels bigger overall because she's still in touch with youth and her songs are not dismissed by millennials like Madonna's are.

Those are estimations from MJDangerous (I don't know the accurate numbers since I don't stan for either). I think he included sales from GAON (South Korea) chart where those singles sold a lot.

Oh jj4 I thought those SK sales were fake, i remember when almost every album track by almost every artist sold over 1m there or something jj4

They just seem off to me because I remember how fast HIAM fell down the charts and i don't see it selling 2.2m outside US, but it doesn't matter i guess.

Yeah, I've just checked Britney's sales thread from Ukmix, all these singles sold over 500,000 copies there.rip2

HIAM - 685,000

TTWE - 700,000 (with remix version included)

Yes, but Rebel Heart has significantly outsold both Glory and Britney Jean combined, even with SPS on Britney's side. 0

Not a stan actually being honest about their fave rip3

OT: I don't know why we have to pit arguably the two biggest female pop stars of the last few decades against each other

Britney = media hype and singles  Madonna = tours and album sales Madonna's achievements are more impressive since she debuted in the 80s!
