It won't be for long rip4

For a lot of those 14 million people, the assurance of more time with their coverage means THE WORLD. A lot of lives will be saved by prolonging this.

McCain is a messy drama queen who lives to be contrary.

I think he took the hit because his political career is over. Other senators wanted to save face. After this term (if he even makes it), he'll be voted out.

But seriously, we dodged a bullet. Hopefully, this is momentum for the Democrats.

I suppose, but it is a bit of a hollow victory to know that it has an expiration date on it - and the fact that it lost because the Republicans are at war with each other, not because the Democrats were able to stop it.

But you're right about that feeling for them I suppose.

As someone who struggled with insurance drama while going through chemotherapy, I can tell you first hand that alleviating that stress for people going through it right now WILL improve their recovery process and likely save their lives.

Right now, small victories are our saving grace and the only motivation that people on the front line of progress have.

The survival rate for the type of cancer he has for his age is like 4% - odds are, he won't make it to the midterms.

What are the chances of a Democrat replacing him? Arizona is known to flip-flop.

Ugh just visiting the U.S Election 2016 wikipedia page reminded me how traumatic this election was.

I don't think I'll ever forget it, honestly. It was a real coming of age experience for me to realize how fucking broken everything actually is.

Probably 60-40 Republican if your average Arizona Democrat runs against whoever they put up.

50-50 if the candidate is more center

I mean, McCain held that seat by 13 points, but he ran against fairly Liberal Democrats last year.

Jeff Flake in 2012, when he won that open seat, ran against a conservative Democrat and only won the seat by 3 points (but the Presidential Election might have had something to do with it that year too)

Over all, it is very unlikely that the Democrats will flip that seat, especially in a special election, McCain wasn't up for re-election until 2022.

Jeff Flake (who will run next year) isn't not exactly assured to keep his party's nomination, but the Democrats will be even weaker in that state in mid-term, they won't lose that seat either.

Maxine Waters is so stupid.

She says that after their done with Trump, they're going after Pence dead7

She does realize that even if we lived in a world where that's possible, she'd basically just be giving us President Paul Ryan rip4

Just keep going down the list till you get the best option jj2

Generally I agree, the problem with politics though is that if you let it consume your life too much, you'll end up so tense and stressed out that you'll just snap

I'm moreso speaking on general terms (albeit the thread did influence post a lot) that a lot of people abstain from politics just because its "drama" filled, when the rights of individuals are literal

Absolutely not. You are foolish if you seriously believe that the "alt-right / neonazi" are just a bunch of violent crazies who want to exterminate all but the white race. This kind of ignorance (and
