omg im fucking SCREAMING at atrl right now lmfao2 did yall see the post where one of the kats was making a quadratic equation and graph to predict when the song would "hit #1" lmfao2

Who cares this much about their fave charting? rip2

I've accepted that mine is a flop and probably won't even make it onto the Bubbling Under chart for the rest of her life. Good for her if she sells a lot, but it's not going to change my enjoyment of the song.

They promoted Drake to death (even though he's an Apple exclusive), since they understand his worth. He was literally the first artist to ever get the second banner in the browse page, not Katy jj2

so expectations were that she would perform like her peers and she didn't dead4  your point

Was that supposed to be shady? Britney is not selling as she used to, but she left her mark, she was successful with 7 albums. um2

I mean it's not what we expected. I think even Katy herself thought she's going to chart on top dead1 Thing is she has waited WAY too long to release her new music and I am not going be against her creative process but it is what is is. Imo, after RISE flopped she should have KNOWN things are going to get worse for her. Now, I am still really happy for the new music which is great and shows that she is capable of doing what people wanted her to do for a long time. Kats have got used that Katy is always going to be on top but things change, new stars come along the way, it's not like she was Beethoven for the whole world and people are going to **** themselves over the fact that Katy is going to release (aside from fans). Sales climate changed, pop is not what it used to be in 2013 or whatever. She has to appeal to a new wave of fans and a market that seems less pop-oriented. She has taken a risk, if we can call CTTR a risk and we have to give it time. HOWEVER, she is not doing THAT bad after all. She is getting views, streaming points, radio airplay. It's not gonna flop that badly and even if it does, at least be happy with the new music, album, which seem to apeal to the critics. I have got used that Katy is not going to stay on top forever, and so should you. We knew we had it coming. xo

Spotify caught LYING

Spotify reports that Katy Perry’s new single, “Chained to the Rhythm” f/Skip Marley, set a first-day streaming record for a single track by a female artist on Friday (2/10) with north of 3 million streams on the service. The Capitol megastar will be performing the song (which is also currently top 5 at iTunes) during the Grammys. In addition to her per-stream royalty, the company’s Swedish HQ will be sending Perry a complimentary shipment of lingonberries.

My point was that the "free promo" doesn't exactly help her, it just helps her labels wallet since they would pay for it anyway. And my original point was that her radio and streams are fine and her lack of sales don't make Gaga bigger or anything hottie1

Anyway I'd wait until Friday before calling it a flop

Read my post above lmfao2  The fucking excuses if you think Gaga got the same promo. Don't run around trying to backtrack.

Not every pop girl can debut with 28m AI and Top 10 Spotify! So keep bragging about your discounted sales after exposure to 110m people and your #75 on Spotify

ATRL didn't spend the past 5 decades updating for this
